FINALLY SOLVED Maybe

I have a 99 7.3 F250. That shouldn't be the right CPS for him. However, I went through hell for years believing in both Ford and mechanics. I got intermittent CPS codes with the latest new one. This must be the 5th one I've bought and it took me insane work. I tried it out of desperation based on other reviews. My truck is working properly for the first time in YEARS! Who knows how long it will take, but who cares. At this price I buy a spare part. Later I report that I still have the problem…

CPS for 01 Ford F-350

Bought for my 01 F350 and a Revain parts check showed it would not fit but I bought it anyway as reviews said it would fit. I was on a trip so I installed this but kept the old one. It probably hasn't done more than five thousand miles and the truck stalls and the check engine light comes on, but it goes off when I start it. I ordered the original, I'll put the old one in until the new one arrives. I'll give an update later when I'm sure this is the problem or not. It turned out that this…

The engine seems to run smoother.

2002 Ford F250 7.3L Diesel Crew Cab w/ 207,000 Miles - (UPDATE: AMAZON Garage Checker says this part does not fit this truck but it has the correct part number and it was replaced within 5 works fine for a month) The engine began to run more smoothly. The old one might have been good, but I put it in the glove box as a spare, as COUNTLESS forums suggest. So far, so good. I just bought a diesel engine in bad condition with 207,000 miles on the odometer so I'll take care of it while driving. Part

97 7.3 stroke good for camshaft position

Product worked great. I had a few minor issues. The CPS slowly started to fail, first the truck stopped when the horn was blown. Then it started to stall a little every 5 seconds while idling, the revs increased slightly but not particularly noticeable, then over time it became more difficult to start the truck, which I think was due to the temperature <40 degrees. If you have these symptoms change your cps because one day it started to keep turning off without even hitting the beep, barely…

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Not bad

The original CPS for 7.3L was black. This black version was great, but then they all started to fail. If they fail, the truck's engine will stall and not start. Gray CPS recalls are very common as most of these trucks received an updated gray version as part of the recall. (Free at retailers) Gray CPS are very reliable. However, the engine runs much rougher on the gray CPS than on the original black version. There are sites on the internet that show scan results comparing two CPSs. The solution
