They do what they do. Attaching the screws was a bit fiddly. Make sure you go straight in and cut them well into the carving. I was able to insert them with a 1/4" ratchet with a 4" handle, a bit stiff, until the threads were completely cut, but I never worried about over-stressing the tools. Torque them to spec. Added spikes. All is well.

Fairly easy installation with an impact wrench. I used my Ridgid impact wrench and the screws went right in. We advise the buyer that Ford does not cut holes for mounting. Also, I had to buy another bolt pack as one bolt in that set was shorted. I've searched everywhere locally and even online. These screws seem to be a special item.

Very good quality. Finish is a solid bedding spray. All screws were included as well as 4 square rubber plugs to cover the hole in the bed cover. Very good. I had no idea they were coming with this. Speaking of the liner, I took mine off to install it because the screws are somewhat hidden behind and I didn't want to cut the liner. This added about 15 minutes to the installation. I just installed two plates on my 2018 FORD F150, metal platform, with atomizer in the liner. The local Ford DLR tried to charge me $49 for two and then $49 for each. This is a much better deal. Original FORD part and box. screws included. Definitely need a 1/2" ratchet to fully tighten the bolts. I thought a few times that I had twisted the screws. I went to my shop and bought a T30 jack and a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter to install the next two next week.

I am buying these box connector plates to use the box spikes for mounting and also e track accessories. I currently only have one E-Track accessory and that is a medium sized wire basket that I use for all my zip ties and elastic cords. These are OEM style straight link plates (along with 16 self tapping screws) included with 2018 Lariat/Platinum/King Ranch/Limited/Raptor models. I bought these for my XLT and they were very easy to install, even with my Line-X liner that I installed.

2019 F-150 XLT supplied with Ford (installed at purchase) Cargo Liner (BL). That's the biggest problem. BL has removable fairing covers. Remove those covers and 4 threaded holes are right there. However, the BL holes and the 4 mounting holes do NOT match. In order to access most of these holes, the BL material must be cut off. Also (as other reviews have stated, the T-30 screwdriver doesn't work) significant torque to install. Find your ratchet and they will fit perfectly.

Based on the installation method and reviews of cheaper plates this should be your choice of plates. You'll be threading truck body inserts and the included equipment does the job without removing or breaking the threads. You can always tap the threads first with a metric tap (I think M6) if desired. I used a Dewalt impact drill and a 1/4" T-30 screwdriver. These are genuine Ford parts so the fit and finish is great. Self-tapping screws, fine thread and torx head. The instructions said to assemble them with a ratchet and torx, but I started with a special hand held torx screwdriver, proceeded carefully with the torx in a cordless impact wrench and hand tightened them until they were snug. Could not install on my 2018 F150 XLT. I like the product, I just couldn't install it. The T30 screws are just under 1 inch. I tried manually refueling the first one and had trouble getting started. Then I used a T30 screwdriver and made a few turns, after which the screw stopped. I still had to put 75% of the screw in, but it wouldn't budge.
