Honda OEM Sensor Good for A/C

Camshaft OEM Sensor for my 2005 Honda Civic. Worked great and got rid of my camshaft sensor code. Always buy OEM when buying sensors.

Pros
  • Several Competitors
Cons
  • Blank

Genuine Honda part.

Fits perfectly! Unscrew the valve cover and carefully lift it off the TDC side. I was able to remove the upper timing cover and service the sensor without completely removing the valve cover.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Repair

Perfect part, original OEM.

Purchased for Civic EX 5 SPD. P1361 TDC sensor code from 2001. The car cut the engine at 80 mph on the freeway, no fun. I ordered this spare part, replaced the sensor and the shaft, there are no more problems. Two weeks passed without incident. The seller sent quickly, even arrived earlier than expected. Very happy

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Only use OEM for the CAM sensor. Believe me.

for CAM sensors, I have had several cars fail over the years. Whenever I've used non-OEM they usually last about a year or two. YES, OEM is more expensive, but they last ten years or more. You get what you pay for, at least when it comes to critical engine sensors for some reason.

Pros
  • best quality
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other

Absolutely perfect part! I made a mistake and got it.

Absolutely perfect part! I made a mistake and got the same part from AutoZone and it failed within a year. I ordered this original Honda sensor and it has been working perfectly ever since. The good thing is that AutoZone will give you your money back if parts fail like they did. I can't ask for anything better! Thank you!

Pros
  • Perfect fit
Cons
  • I have nothing to complain about, everything is just perfect

This small sensor is a key component of your engine.

This sensor is a real problem when it starts to fail as it shuts down the engine in a protective "low speed" mode. This has happened multiple times on the freeway at 95 degrees and 75 mph. Luckily, the engine will eventually start and run normally again. After the engine was replaced like new, there were no more problems. Always buy OEM Honda for this type of parts.

Pros
  • Rugged
Cons
  • Expensive
