Works great I can easily open the hood again. You can't go wrong with Genuine Honda Parts. Installed on Civic 96, suitable for Honda Civic from 1996 - 2000.

Apparently Honda Civics are notorious for their easy to break hood release mechanisms. It took a few hours to replace my '99 Civic DX but this part fitted perfectly!

I bought this for my 1997 Honda Civic EX sedan. I worked like clockwork. No more broken hood cable handle. It was fun to install but there are many videos on You Tube showing how to do it.

Comes with instructions and easy to program. Mine works well from 20 feet or so. You must go through all the steps quickly, so remember it's best to read the steps a few times before you begin.

They are not easy to replace and if you are not careful and misplace them you can break a new one in an instant. Go ahead and spend money on OEM. You don't want to go to the trouble of doing it and then do it all over again because it failed prematurely. The seller sent it straight away and I received it in no time which is great as it was the only thing that kept my car from getting back on the road.
