💯 MERCURY Genuine Fuel Filter Kit - 18458T 4: Ensure Optimal Performance and Engine Protection! Review

Recommended filter with water sensor (no sensor needed). Wanted parts 35-18458T 4 (which were on the box) but got 35-18458 4 NO "T". Now I have to try to get it working somehow.

According to the description this applies to Optimax engines. However, this is not suitable for Optimax engines. However, this is a real mercury filter. Luckily I found a home for it with a mate, but I'm still stuck without a filter.

Doesn't look like the picture but the item in the description is correct. This is the best price I've found for this item considering it includes a water sensor.

Replaced the fuel filter on my 175 hp Mercury Pro Xs. 2011. The bottom cover did not need to be removed. Carefully and little by little I unscrewed the car filter wrench. When I put the new one on, I tightened it with my fingers, then used a piece of 2 inch wide nylon strap and taped the end of the filter with duct tape. Then I wrapped the tape around the filter and at the same time pulled and pressed the tape. i have it strong I just hope I remember how I did it this time, I'm getting old.
