I'm usually a big fan of OEM parts that are difficult to replace like this thermostat. But I installed it on my 07 Xterra in October 2017 and it twitches and spits out p0128 codes after just a year and less than 12,000 miles.

My thermometer didn't read a normal temperature so I decided it was time to replace the thermostat. This is a genuine Nissan product and it solved my problem. The only problem is that NO gasket is included. Note: Torque the bolt to 6 ft-lbs.

The internal dimensions are similar, but the springs are different sizes and the actual thermostat appears to be a higher design. The price difference is small, just buy the original spare part!
