This o-ring was the perfect replacement for my old worn one. This stopped the loud noise the power steering pump was making. Very satisfied!

Although I researched the product before purchasing it, it didn't suit me. I tested and verified the installation before purchasing because I do it with all auto parts. I don't take the blame.

This item is an improved part for Outback 2nd Gen (00-04) and works great. Now my power steering is quieter for once. Keep in mind that if the o-ring is bad, the hose will likely need to be replaced as well.

Wrap a rag around the pump connector to catch a drop of liquid. Remove the old (hard) O-ring and put on the new one. Plug the connector back in with the screw and you're done. Subaru in OEM quality.

Perfect for my ski cart. The old o-ring in the photo was so brittle that it broke at the slightest pressure. I had already replaced the power steering return, but the pump was still humming. After replacing the O-ring and bleeding, the power steering became quieter.

I beat all the noise in my 2004 Subaru Outback. I've changed the tensioners, belt, gussets, speakers and now this o-ring. I can't believe the little o-ring was responsible for all the noise. Quick easy fix but if it fails again I'll probably buy it from the hardware store.

Perfect fit, just what I needed to stop the power steering whine on my 2005 SAAB 9²X (essentially a badge spawned by the Impreza). I replaced the inlet and return lines for good measure while simultaneously flushing/changing the fluid. By the way, both of these hoses are available from RockAuto for much less, you will hardly notice the difference compared to OEM.
