You can only use the base for 15-30-45-90 minutes, continuous operation is not possible, therefore you cannot control the base with an external timer.

Sturdy and easy to use

Sturdy and durable. The base is well weighted. As described. There is a remote control and it's great. I installed an air exchanger for an air conditioning/heating system. Bathrooms and rooms after cleaning. Planned for travel but not yet. You can't touch the lightbulb, but I don't mind. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I use it weekly for about 4 hours.
