Uncomfortable but seems very durable

I never tested them because I bought them for mountain biking and when I tried them on they were just uncomfortable and they slipped a lot. So I sent them back but they seemed very durable and I think they would have protected my knees and elbows well.

Saved my protective gear skin

I stopped my bike at about 50 mph and rode about 40 feet downhill on tarmac. I had elbow pads under my leather jacket and knee pads on the outside of my jeans. I left without a scratch. The left knee pad was completely destroyed but I didn't rip the pants so I'd say they did the job.

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Great protection for protective gear

My son wears these covers every time he rides his motocross bike. I'm one of those moms who always make him wear a helmet and pads. I would wrap it in bubble wrap if I could. Haha! I feel he is well protected by these pads. I'm only giving them 4 stars because after a few hours of wearing them they say they aren't that comfortable. He says they are great and comfortable for 2-3 people at a time.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Terrible, cheap and unsafe.

These things are absolutely awful. A thin, brittle sheet of metal that even kneeling cannot maintain its shape or security. in the sanctuary, and I could hardly kneel in it. After kneeling for the first time, I took them off immediately. I can't imagine they actually protecting someone who is riding. I am so angry that I wasted my time and money on this. I was so excited to try these out. And it was such a disappointment.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Chainsaw Safety - Knee and Shin Guards

I have found that traditional Kevlar chainsaw guards do not work with newer electric chainsaws. This is because the old defense assumes that if you throttle the circuit and stop it for even a moment, the next burst of power won't happen. In an electric saw there is torque. It will keep spinning until you release the trigger. With good leg armor, that's probably enough to protect you from an electronic saw. I was very happy with the durability, stainless steel drew me in. I don't need bracers…

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction

Bad to the Bone - Protective Gear

5 stars mainly because they are very easy to put on and take off. The stretchy straps come with Velcro so all you have to do is thread each strap through the hole, press against the Velcro and you're done. I use them in the hot summer as I already have a motorcycle armored jacket for colder weather. More protection with metal and sometimes I leave them on while shopping. Other customers stared at her and I felt "bad to the bone". I also polish the steel to look like a knight in shining armor…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No effect
