Type of review

When it arrived, the bell didn't ring well. Needed to adjust the screw that holds the bell to the holder (easy) and then slightly bend the hammer so it would hit the bell. Now it works fine and clears the bike path. It is not the most friendly sound though. Prefer my old bell that had a plastic hammer. However this gets stars for being available during the Covid bike parts shortage. Easy to mont on the bike.

Pros
  • Easy mounting, classic sound.Very happy!
Cons
  • The sound may not carry far enough

Great value, good looking, and functions even better.

First off, this bell rings well and is more than loud enough to be heard by pedestrians and other cyclists. Second, It looks good and the size

Pros
  • Premium-High Quality: Made of premium high brass which is anti-rust and anti-aging. With retro design, high strength springs and light strong alloy bracket make it durable.
Cons
  • It may be difficult to reach the bell when wearing gloves

does the job good for me

i bought 2 of these. One for my wife and one for myself. We have ebikes and you really sneak up on people. They do exactly what we needed.

Pros
  • Adjustable pitch for a customized sound
Cons
  • The bell may not be visible enough in low-light conditions

Easy to install, LOUD

Quick and easy to install with the included rubber spacers. The bell is LOUD, which is great, but not crisp. There's a long resonating sound after, I have to use a finger to silence it or it'll take a few seconds for it to stop. It's just a little bit too tall on the handlebar for my liking but not wide at all. The striker is long so always easy to reach and it's easier to control how hard to pull back so you don't go full church bell and give the pedestrians a heart attack. The spring feels…

Pros
  • Nice Loud Tone:This Classic Brass Bike Bell always deliver us a crisp loud tone. Pedestrians and passing vehicles can clearly hear your ringtone, which makes the riding much safer.
Cons
  • The bell may not fit on all types of handlebars

Has a nice ring to it

These produce a really nice sound and are very high quality. Many of the others have a little plastic rocker that strikes the bell, which wears out over time, or a metal spring prone to rust. This one has a nice stainless-steel rocker/striker that is held by a stainless spring. Very nice design! As a bonus, it comes with two rubber inserts to fit various sizes of handlebars. It worked on my kids Guardian bike as well as my Trek DualSport 3.

Pros
  • One of the loudest bells I’ve tried makes my large knog oi sound quiet.
Cons
  • The bell may not be suitable for all ages

Small and Adequate Volume

It's not as loud as the product title would imply--but it's adequate. It's small, however, and when handlebar real estate is a premium, that's important.

Pros
  • My daughter likes the sound and the installation was easy.
Cons
  • It may distract other cyclists who are already cycling in a group

Happy kids. good for me

Exactly how i hoped they would be. Wife bought prior (junk) bells. These are the solution. Kids need bells on bikes. Simple joys!

Pros
  • Solid construction and durable. Nice clean sound to alert even those wearing earbuds.
Cons
  • The bell may rust easily

Single ding; surprisingly piercing

I didn't pay close attention to this bell's description, so I was surprised when it turned out to be a single spring-driven striker that produces an ear-piercing ding (don't ring it indoors). But I like it. It's simple, loud, and you can easily ring it several times in quick succession if you wish.

Pros
  • ‎Handlebar
Cons
  • The sound may be too harsh or abrupt

Loud enough to be heard over ear buds!

This is the best bike bell I've ever bought! It's beautiful, it's compact enough for my 22-inch wide handlebars, it's LOUD enough for me to get the attention of those obnoxious earbud wearing yuppie joggers who insist on using my bike lane (jerks!), and the quality of the construction is some of the best I've seen in bike bells. Aiso, it has that gorgeous rich and resonating brass sound I like. Seriously, I seldom rate anything 5 stars! I'll be buying these from here on out.

Pros
  • Enhances safety while riding on roads and trails
Cons
  • The bell may be difficult to customize or personalize

Loud enough and easy to use.

The bell is small but loud. Since it is small - it was easy to fit on my handlebars despite the brakes & shifters taking up a lot of space. It's easy to use. It's loud enough - I tested it as I passed several pedestrians. The install kit was perfect - the spacers allowed me to mount it on two different sized handlebars.

Pros
  • Enhances the overall aesthetic of your bike
Cons
  • The sound may be too soft to be heard over city noise

Seems Like a Great Buy

So far I like it very much but i've only used it a few times. It was very easy to install and fit my handle bars that are 1.125" in diameter. All the parts look of very high quality which was a nice surprise. The gasket was even contoured with indentations where they were needed. This tiny thing seems well-engineered. The only thing I question is why the locking screw goes in from the bottom. If it were to come loose, it would fall out. If it were inserted and screwed down from the top, it…

Pros
  • Urges pedestrians to move out of the way
Cons
  • The bell may be prone to malfunctioning in extreme temperatures

Good quality bike bell, excellent value overall.

Good quality piece overall, very good for the money in my opinion. A little smaller than I was expecting which is a good thing as it takes up less space on the bar, and I was able to mount it close enough to not have to change my grip to use it. It does ring just once every time you "thumb" the lever, but it's clear and very loud. Probably every 8 or 10 times when using it it does "misfire" and instead of a bright ring it's more of a thump, but it's no problem to just hit the lever again. I'm…

Pros
  • Great for kids and adults alike
Cons
  • The bell may not be durable enough to last through multiple bike tours

Great Bell! for my opinion

Okay, what's up with some of these ridiculous negative reviews? It's a freaking bell folks! If it makes a loud ring, which it does, then it's going to alert everyone's attention! Yes, it doesn't have the old school ring, but this bell is simple and its durable construction makes it better. It's also very streamlined and doesn't stand out very much. I will say one of the bells in the 2 pack was not ringing very well. After close examination I realized when the bell was at rest the striker was…

Pros
  • ‎Blue Large (Bike handlebar between 28.6-31.8mm)
Cons
  • The bell may not be compatible with certain bike models

Good loud bell best in my review

Simple design, easy to install. People on the trail with buds in their ear usually hear the bell. I highly recommend. Sports & Outdoors.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The sound may be muffled by other noises on the road

Was going to rate it 5 stars, but.

This bike bell works really well. It's plenty loud and easy to install and use. The only issue have with it is its waterproofness. It got wet while it was on the back of my vehicle. After several days the bell striker would not work. It was stuck. The fix was easy - I just sprayed it with WD-40 and it's working once again. So, be sure to add some WD-40 to the bell every now and again to prevent this.

Pros
  • Satisfaction guarantee ensures customer confidence
Cons
  • The sound may not be distinct enough to be recognized by other cyclists

Wish I had purchased this earlier. Well built & distinctive.

Why didn’t I buy this first? I recently rebuilt my beloved Mountain Bike into an Urban Cruiser. I bought a bell in September and have never been satisfied with it.My wife found this one.got it for me. I Love It!Not only is it loud (a good trait).it is built like a tank. No accidental ring when you hit a pot hole. Easy to ring when you need (hopefully rarely) it.And the quality of the ring sets this bell apart from any other I’ve own. Simply put.it’s got class. The look is distinctive too. And…

Pros
  • Great product will buy again.
Cons
  • It may be difficult to operate the bell with one hand while cycling
