No real strain relief and NOT UV resistant

The strain reliefs are loose at both ends and do not reduce strain on the connector. The PVC jacket cracks in 3-4 years of exposure according to an answer to my question in the question & answer section for this product. I am using split loom tubing on the section exposed to the sun going to a wall mounted outside wireless access point.

Pros
  • This product was a good fit for the completion of the installation of our outdoor cameras at the church!
Cons
  • Too long for some applications

Does what it’s supposed to do

Ran this cable from inside the house (connected to router), through the crawl space , and outdoors to an outdoor access point. POE adapter is great and cable has been doing what it’s designed to do. Pleased with my purchase

Pros
  • Product was delivered very quickly. It's been installed and works fantastic!Great internet signal!
Cons
  • More difficult to maneuver than other Ethernet cables

used in direct burial for wiring up a back yard cottage

Running power out to a cottage, I was also going to lay conduit and run ethernet out to the workspace. I found this direct burial cable and was skeptical but the reviews were good.Sure enough, just dropped this cable in the trench, and even after some torrential rain (and the trench getting filled with crush gravel), the cable is working perfectly. There are some cables on Revain with incorrect ratings, this is definitely checking out as actual Cat6 with very high frequency data transmission

Pros
  • Only had it a few weeks. It works great! Does what it is intended to do. Arrived on time.
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to route than other cables

This cable works great!

I used this to connect a Netgear nighthawk X8 router 400’ to a switch which connects to a second Netgear nighthawk X8 router configured to be an access point. This cable works great! I was using a nanostation to send the signal across to the switch then to the access point. The 400’ eithernet cable makes the computer lightning fast! I had a computer tech set and test everything. He was amazed on how well the 400’ cable performed! I did not know how it would work as it is not recommended to run…

Pros
  • Basically the same thickness and weight as an outdoor coaxial cable.
Cons
  • Only compatible with certain devices

A pain to untangle!

This stuff is an absolute nightmare to untangle. Do yourself a favor and untangle from both ends before you made the mistake I did, assuming it would just uncoil after I had ran one side into the house.Other than that, it seems relatively well made.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Can be difficult to repair if damaged

Runs POE security camera just fine.

I used this to run power over ethernet security cameras and direct burial of the wire. So far so good. This length is at the outer limit of what Cat6 can handle as far as distance, from what I have read. So far no issues. Cable has been in place for about a month now.

Pros
  • Item arrived quickly. Works hreat
Cons
  • Not great for network setups that change often

Poor quality connectors

The connectors on these cables are poor quality crimp-on connectors without molded strain reliefs. The connectors are open to the air, are not well strain relieved, and the boot hoods slip off easily exposing the connectors to damage. If the connectors will be indoors in a well protected location these cables may work for you. They did not work in our application.Do not recommend. Would not buy again.

Pros
  • ‎Grey
Cons
  • May not be as secure as other Ethernet cables

Ran for an exterior garage

Incredible value, I bought the 200 ft cord for sixty-three dollars and it works great! Good quality product. I ran it overhead to feed a media box in the garage and it is WAY better than going off wifi. I will update the review if I have any problems with sun exposure over the coming months but for now, I'm very impressed.

Pros
  • It works.
Cons
  • Not compatible with all operating systems

Beefy Cable on my review.

This cable is a lot beefier than regular CAT6 cable. I used this to run ethernet to a detached garage on a 70ft overhead power line and I don't have any worries about it lasting while exposed to the elements.

Pros
  • Order for security cameras to be used in a business. Delivered on time and works great.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other Ethernet cables

bad cable, doesn't work

This cable doesn't work. I know that terminating cat6 is a headache but you might be better off getting quality cat6 bulk cable and terminating your own cable to avoid having to replace cables like this one after you've spent time putting it in conduit. I'm waiting on a tester to arrive, and will update the review if I can figure out exactly why it doesn't work. Either some of the conductors are open, it's terminated poorly, or it's not actually cat6. I got it to extend my starlink router from…

Pros
  • This network cable has a very fast internet speed. It’s no problem to play at home. I like it very much.
Cons
  • Not well-suited for high-speed applications

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Didn’t work for me, but seemed possible.

I had to return it- defective or damaged-Don’t know. The outermost casing seemed really sturdy and the rj45 ends looked fine.

Pros
  • Plug and play got good speeds up and runnin
Cons
  • May be too stiff for some applications

Very heavy duty cable

This is some really heavy duty cable. I ran it from a router in my living room to a second router set up as a WAP in my fish cleaning shack, about 200 feet. I put it in 3/4 inch conduit because even though it's underground rated it's probably not ditch digger rated and I don't like to cut through wires.Got a good signal at the remote WAP and everything is working just fine. I can now get an acceptable wifi signal at my boat house which is about 70 feet past the fish cleaning shack. Now I can…

Pros
  • Very clear signal.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with some devices' network adapters

Nice cable; boots are a joke

The boots aren't held in place at all, they slide all along the cable. Pretty silly. Other than that, it seems robust and has been outside in the weather for a couple months now without a problem.

Pros
  • Computers & Accessories
Cons
  • May require additional sealing for outdoor use

High Quality Cable in my review

The quality of this cable is impressive. I needed a shielded data cable to connect a solar inverter to an external power meter. I didn't need the ends so I cut them off. I can confirm that the cable's core structure is as advertised-shielded, ground wire, and cross skeleton. The pvc jacket is thick and the cable feels durable.

Pros
  • ‎10 Gigabits Per Second
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to terminate than other cables

Built for The OutDoor

This Ethernet Cable works Great. Cable is Stiffer due to the extra protection needed for the Outdoors.High Quality . No Problems. I used it for my POE outdoor Security Camera's

Pros
  • Connected my house to a shop and this worked great
Cons
  • May require specialized tools for installation

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice Cable. But in my review

there is no reason that this very nicely constructed cable needs to be this stiff. milk jug stiff. minus a star for acting like electric wire instead of cat 6it has nice bell and whistles but so stiff it needs 2 people to run it in a ditch.

Pros
  • ‎DbillionDa
Cons
  • Only available in one material

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stiffer than cat 5e.

A little stiffer than cat 5e but that was expected. These cables are shielded and have a thick case, making it perfect for outdoor use.

Pros
  • Everything was as expected. Order from seller and receive service as expected.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find the right connectors

Revainrating 5 out of 5

way better than CAT 7 or CAT 8

I thought CAT7 and CAT8 were real, but I realized later than CAT6 or CAT 6A is the way to go. Apparently the CAT 7/8 classifications are arbitrary and not fully recognized, and in fact the CAT6 cable feels and works way better than 7/8. This product was the best value for the money

Pros
  • Cables worked perfectly for me.
Cons
  • May not function well in extreme temperatures

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy on long pulls for my opinion

I pulled this line through 175' of crooked conduit with a lot of bends. I get 460mbps on 400mbps service. This cable is awesome

Pros
  • Ethernet Cables
Cons
  • May not be as durable as advertised

This seller provided high quality merchandise

It arrived exactly as advertised, it functions beautifully. Could not ask for a better Cat6e cable for my WIFI antennas' . I upgraded the cables from old Cat5s', and now have better WIFI performance. With this 250' cable, I have mounted the antennas, much closer. Have a clear line-of-site between them. No more trees blocking the signal. And this cable will be upgrade compatible with the next future upgrade, a ISP offers in my neighborhood.Very HAPPY

Pros
  • this is a very good cable.
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for some users' needs
