I've been working hard to replace the bellows on my Mercruiser outdrive. Then, when raising the forward gear to the trailer position, the accordion-style exhaust bellows quickly slipped off! After some research I found this style seal. When the output gear is in the down position where you use it, it seals the exhaust so it goes through the bracket as intended. My standard exhaust bellows came loose from the bottom side of the block while working on the boat this spring. I had just attached the bottom block to the gimbal body, so I didn't really want to do it again, but I didn't want the long tube hanging around either. So I removed it and replaced it with this exhaust bellows. So far, so good!
