Not sturdy enough for climbing

As a loyal customer of Sports and Outdoors, I wanted a reliable ground screw for my slacklining excursions. Unfortunately, I found this product to be flimsy and unstable, causing me to lose my balance more often than not. The only positive aspect was that it was easy to set up. As a result of using this product, I had to cut my slacklining session short due to safety concerns. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a durable climbing accessory.

Pros
  • Easy and quick installation without the need for tools
Cons
  • Requires a certain level of strength and effort to twist into the ground

The screw was deformed, did not screw into the ground

The screw was deformed. It looks like the internal screw was welded correctly, but the outside of the fin was somehow bent or damaged at the factory, leaving a bulge opposite the direction it was supposed to be screwed in. This will prevent the drill bit from going more than 4 inches into the ground up the shaft.

Pros
  • Outdoor recreation
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Turn on the slackline where it normally isn't possible.

Fantastic opportunity for slack where otherwise would not be possible. This is a semi-permanent solution - it is easy to remove but depending on the hardness of the soil it may take some patience to get into the soil. There is only one screw in the box, so use two if you need both sides. I bought two but I only needed one. I use a basketball post on one end and then I have 15 foot (beginner) and 30 foot (intermediate) anchor points. Once installed it is solid. The build quality is very heavy.

Pros
  • Rope, cord and strap
Cons
  • Reverse print
