Excellent photo album. The attention to detail in the engravings is excellent and the quality of the wood appears to be excellent. It definitely looks more expensive than it really is. I definitely recommend this photo album, it makes a great gift. My only recommendation is to use higher quality photo sites. The plastic on the sides feels brittle and doesn't match the quality of the wood exterior. But overall I still love the album and look forward to filling all the pages.

I was very pleased with this purchase; The tree of albums is darker than in the picture and the details are not so obvious as to be seen. It contains 4x6 images that can also be easily inserted into the cases. I gave it to a friend who was ordained and included all the photos taken during the service and after dinner. Images often do not correspond to the actual product. The album is attractive, but it arrived with a loose, wood-like pickguard and was held at the top by a single blade. All other splices did not work. The wood veneer is approximately 1/64 inch thin veneer over some sort of composite core; The edges of the cover and back were very sharp, the sharp edges were smoothed out with fine 220 grit sandpaper. I bought this album because I liked the real wood covers and the style of the ring. I don't particularly like that the photo inserts are just ugly plastic pages, especially since you can see the plastic (and the photo underneath) through the three leaf-like holes in the front cover. I could see it in photos so it wasn't bad publicity; it's just not great. I'll probably tape some good cardboard or something to the inside of the front cover so the plastic isn't a problem.
