Good monitor, well made, clean design, poor HDR resolution. general average

This monitor has many features, but it's far from perfect. I have a 27 inch Asus PG278q monitor with a resolution of 3820 x 2160 60Hz, I've been listening to conversations on YouTube that keep talking about HDR, 144Hz and higher and I felt like I…

I can't rotate the screen properly in every game I've tried

Foreword, I am a computer scientist with a lot of experience/understanding of this topic. Gsync doesn't work properly by default, but even after working with all the settings I can still encounter endless problems with the alternate tab of games. For some reason, monitors display 3840 x 2160 by default. This is very annoying as it is a 2560x1440 monitor. Changing Windows settings, game settings and NVIDIA Control Panel settings does not change this for full screen mode (tested in both Valorant and Rocket League). You have to run the game in borderless full-screen mode, which tends to increase input lag because the window no longer has absolute priority over all other windows in full-screen mode. You can try changing your NVIDIA Control Panel settings to run at Gsync + 170Hz + 2560 x 1440 resolution in borderless full screen mode, but even then, sometimes you Alt-Tab it down to the resolution of 120Hz-4k reset. If you're not tech savvy, it's too much to do, and even after it works, it…

Good monitor, but takes up a lot of space

I got this monitor along with a graphics card which I had to buy if I wanted a graphics card that wasn't from an eBay scalper. It's a good monitor - much better than any I've had before. However, the legs of the table stand are gigantic. I understand that they increase the monitor's stability, but if you plan to use a desktop stand, make sure the monitor can be placed at the very back of the table or the legs will get in the way.

Pros & cons

  • Easy setting
  • Unattractive design.

Holy shit, huge! in my rating

The first thing I would like to say about this monitor is that it is *smart*. No, really, it's incredibly beautiful. The response time and refresh rate are amazing. I bought four of these: three for my gaming PC and one for my work laptop. And here we come to the unfortunate part: As for this reviewer, he has a 25% bounce rate. I've been using them for less than a week and I looked around and saw that one of them is now just showing vertical lines of different colors. I searched for errors for hours and all I could find was an error. Add this to other reviews saying the same thing and I'll be careful. However, the ones that do are probably the most popular monitors I've owned. Coming from someone who's been in IT for 20+ years and a nerd for about 40 years has to mean something.

Pros & cons

  • It's great to run games on it, let's see how long it lasts
  • Excited because I bought it for my X series and dddddd it doesn't work.

Not worth it, better invest something better.

The monitor has great colors but is never exactly or anywhere near as good as advertised. Color accuracy keeps changing depending on what games you're playing (just because the monitor doesn't match the other 3). The stand is awful and after a few months of use at max screen fit height the screen just slowly falls off and is basically unusable and the screen is very low like a laptop, very annoying I have to support it with speakers.

Pros & cons

  • Response Time 1 ms (MPRT) / 1 ms GTG (Gray to Gray)
  • High price for the features offered.

Nice, with some caveats.

Nice monitor. Pros: - Amazing color. I can't stress it. - High refresh rate. Very smooth - Excellent build quality. Cons: - Relatively loud constant "static" noise from the display at higher refresh rates. Not audible at 60 Hz. Sometimes there are problems with flickering after waking up from sleep. This can be fixed by going into settings and lowering the refresh rate to 60 and back to 165, but I don't have to. Aoru's built-in settings suck. There are many options, which is nice, but you can only use them if you can run the program. It only runs ONCE when the system boots up. Don't close it. The "game assistants" are annoying and I can't turn them off. In particular,"Target Stabilization". It doesn't make much difference to aiming in shooters, but it does in Assassin's Creed, and not for the better. Also, the option to disable is grayed out. The Gigabyte FAQ didn't help. However, this is only an issue with my custom image settings. Using the preset (with the feature disabled) works…

Works best in my opinion

Therefore, initially, this monitor could not support 165 Hz and G Sync at the same time. But after the new patch I can run it with HDR, G Sync and 165Hz. Otherwise it's pretty good, the reason I gave it 4 stars is that it's a bit fiddly to use the mini lever to select the input compared to the actual buttons. . And it's ridiculously bright, you turn the brightness down and it gets too dark, so it's a bit annoying to find a middle ground.

Pros & cons

  • computers and accessories
  • Poor color accuracy

Gigabyte quality is pretty bad

I ordered one of these monitors, 3 dead pixels. I ordered another one, 2 broken pixels. I used to avoid Gigabyte products because of the low quality. Nothing seems to have changed. Now I need to return two of these monitors and look for something else. Just a few weeks ago this monitor was $800 and now it's dropped to $600. i understand why There are too many better options to spend money on gigabyte monitors. Get the LG 32GP850 instead! I did exactly that and it arrived with no dead/dead pixels and looks phenomenal!

Pros & cons

  • Very good value for money
  • Short instructions

Not worth it, better invest something better.

Great monitor!: my rating

I've been using it as my main monitor for about 2 months now and am very happy with my purchase. The OSD tool is great and allows you to customize different game modes. The 165 Hz refresh rate is very smooth. The brightness is amazing and can get too bright if you don't turn it down. The only downsides I have is some flickering in some games. It seems to be more related to poor HDR performance on some games than the monitor, although it only affects some games. Another annoyance is that HDR appears to cause a screen refresh, causing the screen to momentarily go black when switching to the second monitor or back. It should be easy enough to fix the global settings in nvidia, but it doesn't bother me enough to change them. Both problems seem to be software related and not a fault of the monitor itself.

Pros & cons

  • KVM monitor and 8-bit color with HLG
  • functionality

10 BIT Gaming: my rating

Nice panel with minimal flare. Good build quality and nice colors. Can only do 165 8bit or 120 and 10bit. Some people have trouble maintaining 10-bit color while gaming. Go to display settings and set it to 120Hz and apply BEFORE applying 10-bit color. If you do both at the same time, it goes back to 8-bit but stays at 120Hz. If you have dual displays, you can keep the display settings open on one monitor while gaming to see how it adjusts as you play. This is a high quality IPS panel so colors are out of the box but when 10 bits work properly it's much better. It's almost like a resolution upgrade, but for colors. It's subtle, but the color transition is better, making the overall image more saturated. I used to switch between 165 and 120 but now I just leave it at 120 10 bit as accidentally turning on 8 bit would be a little annoying, you'd know something looks wrong but you don't know what. In any case, CSGO was the only game where I actually got over 120 fps at 1440p. Also, you…

Attention buyers in my review

I received this monitor in a damaged box, 2 days later I had my first dead pixel and still can't figure out why I can't play games in full screen. This monitor's displayport kept trying to upscale to 4k even though all my Windows and Nvidia settings were set to native 1440p. After a full week I wiped my entire PC with new windows (downgraded from 21h1 to 20h2) and had to uninstall Nvidia GeForce and their latest driver, this fixed the full screen issue but didn't have optimal performance. (Yes, the monitor had the latest Gigabyte drivers) AND THEN after just 2 weeks all colors on the panel turned green (like it was dying) from trying to save the OSD settings, or in-game, as many Things were happening at the same time, and now because I'm Canadian and had to pay 200 Canadian dollars to return this defective Revain monitor. DO NOT BUY! PC Specs: Ryzen 5800xGigabyte B550 Aorus Pro Ac16gb RAM G Skill cl16RTX 3070 Gigabyte Aorus Master

Linus was right: my review

I bought this monitor mainly for better graphics. In general, I bought it because Linus Tech declared it the best monitor of the year (for the year it came out). He spoke highly of how well this monitor can reproduce true-to-life color, and they certainly do. Overall, the monitor is of high quality. That explains why it's so hard. Seems really hard. RGB lighting is awesome. But like Linus said, you don't see it. I never noticed streaks or anything like that. Generally one of the best 1440s. If you really care about color, this monitor is for you.

Pros & cons

  • The perfect monitor
  • Monitor cables are too short.

Everything I wanted but no LED software to install

That's everything I wanted from a monitor. All aspects of the resolution, speed and refresh rate are spot on and I am more than satisfied. My ONLY complaint is that when I installed the drivers for the LED control software, there was some kind of driver installed that was destroying ALL my USB ports. I had to do a hard reset because none of my USB devices (mouse, keyboard, wifi, cooler monitor, etc.) were working anymore. When it restarted everything was back except my WiFi Netgear. Removing the drivers didn't help so I had to revert to a restore point. I deducted one star from the rating for this experience. There is no LED control for me, which is very minimal since I don't like LEDs, especially on the back of a monitor that's against a wall that no one can see. Again, great monitor, great performance, but I wouldn't do it. We recommend installing software control of the LEDs.

Pros & cons

  • Muy buena calidad y grande
  • A few little things

human deception. good for me

I bought this monitor 1 week ago and it had screen issues and left a permanent black bar on my screen. I want to say "luckily I had a warranty", I have a warranty, but GIGABYTE customer support is probably the worst I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately, that's not an exaggeration. There hasn't been an answer for days. The website certainly has no problem showing you everything you can buy, but customer service? Yes, sorry, that part doesn't work. Site crash after site crash. Phone call? I'm pretty sure nobody works there, so good luck to anyone who picks up the phone. Save time and money and look for another monitor. It's not worth being chased for 1-2 months by a hardware failure and a company that cares less about its customers.

Pros & cons

  • 165 Hz refresh rate, High Bit Rate 3 (HBR3) support.
  • security

The monitor is good, but not practical at all.

The monitor is nice and great quality, but trying to switch inputs or really doing anything involving the monitor settings menu interface (both) can be a real headache. Automatic monitor input switching is the most annoying feature I've seen that can be disabled, but when it's disabled the monitor typically doesn't manually switch to the next input unless there's an active signal coming from the input that it is you switch. I also saw a bug where the menu wasn't available at all no matter what you do. Unless you have more than one computer connected to this monitor, you probably won't need to interact with the monitor's menus very often, but if you have more than one computer to switch between these monitors, it will become problematic to work with.

Pros & cons

  • Big!
  • Only available in black

Great for what it is

Edit: January 2022. I have edited and greatly abridged my original review as it is somewhat disjointed, but the original two points stand. However, I'll speculate a bit more about my current thoughts: I'm a little annoyed with the HDR implementation. It just doesn't look that good. In comparison, the HDR on my LG C1 OLED TV is amazing. I'm no expert, but to be honest, this implementation of HDR gives HDR a bad name. HDMI 2.1 is all the rage these days, but the monitor only supports HDMI 2.0. If the rest of your toolchain is 2.1 you can still get up to 144 fps, but the only way to get 165 fps with this monitor is with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. The Macbook support for this monitor is terrible. My Macbook Pro (before M1) may not recognize the monitor. It can send an image with colors (especially when another monitor is connected). He can create a hissing cat sound with his fan and restart. It's so damn unpredictable. But I'm not sure if this is the monitor's "fault" compared to Apple…

Amazing picture quality

I have absolutely enjoyed this monitor for the past few months! It took me a little while to find the settings I liked, but it's a definite upgrade over the 1080p monitor I've used before. I definitely want to get a second one as a second monitor.

Pros & cons

  • 33.7 pounds
  • No paint required

When you switch monitors.

I would suggest this. I only had it a few hours. so far it has been worth it. crystal clear. No dead pixels. Except they come in an already opened box and have handprints all over the screen. This is an amazing monitor.

Pros & cons

  • Extended dynamic range
  • vulgarity

The only real problem: my rating

I'd like to start off by saying that this monitor was very good at everything, but if you were to invest $600 in a product, it couldn't have these flaws. transfer

Pros & cons

  • Delivers pleasant sensations
  • too stupid
