🏢 Electric Building Experiment Girls Doodling by Giggleway Review

I bought this for my 11 year old son who has shown an interest in robotics and I love that it is an educational form of entertainment. It was exactly what we wanted. The instructions were clear and he was able to assemble it without my help. He really enjoyed building them and was so proud of himself! I would definitely buy again.

We built the first bot (bot for drawing) and it worked only two times. We didn't even finish the second bot we tried (a balancing car robot) because when we tested the engine, we immediately noticed a burning smell. The negative end of the battery compartment was slightly broken. Not quite sure how safe this product is, can't recommend. This was pre-purchased and given as a Christmas present but Revain will not allow us to return it. Let's hope the manufacturer fixes that. Take care!

I used this kit at a STEM summer camp with middle school kids. Each set contains three individually wrapped designs. The instructions were very clear. Students were able to follow instructions independently with minimal supervision. Some of the wires had to be stripped, but the students managed to do that too. Kids loved playing with this set so much! Comes with a magnetic screwdriver. Once we found it in the box (*facepalm) it was MUCH easier to deal with the little screws and my daughter was able to assemble the second robot herself! The instructions were easy to understand and the photos helped her join in with no problems. Since then, they've had fun playing with their robots and putting them in co-op mode to share with friends. (My favorite is the graffiti bot.) I love the educational value this

DO NOT recommend this, sat down with my 6 year old to help him build and paid very close attention to the wiring which would have been pretty hard to mess up anyway. Turned on and nothing, of course he was upset. Tested and researched, there's no reason this wouldn't work. Turned on again, nothing. Left it for further investigation, nothing. The concept of these toys is great. Robots are cute and funny. However, the very small screws and materials used are too complex for an 8-year-old. The plastic parts used for screws are complex. These toys would be much better if they were a bit bigger so kids could manipulate things better. Usually these kits for kids come with the wires pre-stripped, but the instructions say to strip the wires with a lighter. This is a nice set of STEM related projects. While every single robot kit is available from other vendors, the instructions that come with the Giggleway kit make it a much better value. The full-color instruction manual printed in English provides simple step-by-step instructions with color images to facilitate the assembly of each robot.
