Modkat Scratcher Lounge (Small - 26.6L X 7H X 10.6D In.) Review

I think my cat would like it a lot better if the sides were usable for clawing. He keeps trying and seems frustrated because he wants to embrace the width. This will have to do it will probably last a few years it’s very sturdy.

I got the small size and it is large enough that my 12lb and 14lb cats can lounge on top comfortably but not so big that it overtakes the living room. There is something about the shape and texture of this scratcher that they both just love. One of my cats like to reach through the middle and scratch there, and it does a better job of dulling their nails than other cardboard scratchers I've used. I was a bit afraid to spend so much on a cat toy but boy, am I glad I did! My two cats love it and play on it several times a day. When they are not playing on it, they lay on top, or inside of it. The first day, I put it against a wall to save space in my family room. They sniffed it but were not at all interested. The next day, I pulled it out into the middle of the room and they love it now! Definitely a great purchase.

I’ll put it this way: when this first came in my two cats were literally fighting each other to have time on this amazing cat scratcher. Was it the cat nip I sprinkled on it (that came with the scratcher)? Probably. But they’ve been obsessively going at it (opposed to my furniture) for the last month. They LOVE it. And so do I! This cat scratcher is the cheapest, most durable and aesthetically pleasing one I’ve been able to find on here. Best of all it’s gonna last a while. High recommend!

The item arrived on time and packaged well to avoid damage during shipment.It has good weight to it with a solid dense build that will not flip over or break in half.My cat likes the texture and size while I like the shape and look of it.I would recommend this item to my friends and family.

The design is pretty unique and pleasant: it fits well in different rooms. The cats absolutely love this scratcher. They use it both to scratch their nails and to have a rest on top of it. Compared to other scratchers I had in the past, this is much bigger in size. Something you may want to keep in mind. Take a look at the picture for a comparison with a normal (heavily used) scratcher. You can appreciate the difference in size as well as the better looking design.

Our cats loved this so much I ordered a second one right away. I thought it was a bit expensive , but it’s quite sturdy and looks as if it will last a very long time.

I've had a couple other loungers, but I like this one best. It doesn't have the deep dip in the middle that the others have so it looks like it's more comfortable. And both my cats really like it; they're tussling a little bit over who gets to use it (in my opinion, first come gets it). I would definitely recommend.

When I put this scratcher out both of my cats immediately jumped onto it, and there was room for both of them! I keep some of their toys in the lower cut-outs, which they love. When I get up in the morning there are always a few stray toys around it. Plus, it is very well made and sturdy. It has a modern style and looks nice in my home.

My cats went nuts! They love it! I bought 2 of these to replace a more expensive popular brand and these are every bit as nice! Great quality, sturdy and strong cardboard. My chubby cat sleeps comfortably on it too! Highly recommend, will buy again!

My 11 year old sphynx cat has become a kitten again :) the Modkat is her number one place to get a good claw scratching session in. And because of the hollow center she loves to play and hunt lunging from the center with sneak attacks.

Item exceeded expectations. For several years I had purchased a similar item from a different seller, but that seller has now doubled their price. I ordered this Modkat version as an alternate and have found it to be an exceptional version. I have several cats and they actually like the Modkat better. I'll be ordering this Modkat scratcher/lounger again whenever needed.

Wowza! And I do mean, oh yes and oh yeah! It undulates. It attracts. It sharpens the dullest of claws. Can you jump to the windowsill to reach your bowl of food by launching from this sturdy perch? You can!

A nice looking piece that fits in a modern home (unlike so many pieces of cat furniture).The cat loves to sit on it and lounge, sometimes even stuffs herself into the little opening. Scratches it quite enthusiastically which distracts her from scratching my couch!A win all around.

This is really nice but as you can see my 16 lb boy can barely fit. I got the L size so he could play in the middle. The middle is not 10 inches. As you can see it could fit a kitten but not a 3 year old Solid Ragdoll. I put his fav beanie baby lion inside as reference. I should have bought the $80 one but they took weeks to ship. Re review of sharp cardboard: yes, there are some serrated parts. For bigger cats this is a waste of $55 :(

first orangey ran over to scratcher lounge to check it out and claim it. the other orangeys have been sneaking in lounge time as soon as it's vacated. the cats seem well satisfied

The cardboard on this scratcher shed within a month of our buying it. There is cardboard all over the floor and it is not a good grade of cardboard. We've had others that last much longer. However, our cat loves to just lay in it as it is a good lounger if you can deal with all the cardboard which he has shredded.

It was smaller than I thought it was going to be .My cats likes it though , but I wouldn’t buy it again they have a bigger one online my cats are not little their 2 big male cats and they’re big boys. But it was well-made and the quality was good if you have smaller cats

My cat LOVES this scratcher and uses is several times a day. When she has the zoomies, she'll leap from the scratcher to the sofa and it slides on the floor. It holds up to a lot of play!
