Great little project!

I like these Mill Hill sets because they are easy to take with me. The gingerbread house is amazing when finished. The set looks more like beadwork than cross stitch. An experienced stapler can complete this project in a weekend.

Pros
  • Cross stitch
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Worth the work!

It turned out even better than I expected. Now I'm sewing a second one. My granddaughters will be delighted with this year's Christmas decorations. It's a lot of work, but worth it in the end. The hardest part is threading the beading needle - I've tried all sorts of methods as suggested but none worked without much frustration. Nevertheless I am very satisfied! And they will!

Pros
  • Handmade
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

A little harder.

This pattern was a little harder to follow than some Mill Hill kits. It became harder for me to count spaces. Most beading patterns just go back and forth, changing colors as you go. In this pattern, some of these were thread stitches that had to be done first. THEN add beads. Somehow I miscalculated, so the end result wasn't exactly what it should have been, but I just adjusted it and the roof was a little "snowier" than it should have been. It's a bigger piece than some of the others in her…

Pros
  • Counted kits
Cons
  • boring packaging
