I put this on my hair before screen printing and it gave my hair a nice shine and some hold. I also used it a bit on the sides and edges. Not as strong as regular edge gel, but it's a worthy compromise. I will buy more as soon as I need it. My hair is natural but bleached and colored. No relaxer.

I just opened this new jar and was amazed at how little product it contained! It's barely half full. I won't take the product out to weigh it to see if it matches the weight stated on the box, but it definitely didn't live up to my expectations. I gave 2 stars just because I love the product but the amount is ridiculous. I will not buy again.

The product is NOT what I expected but has no pictures or examples. I used to use a Unite product called Wicked Wax and compared the ingredients although they are similar, one is an oily lipstick and the other is a clay lipstick. Still works well but not the best product for my fine, spiky hair.

I applied about a quarter size to damp hair and then blow dried and to my surprise I didn't even have to iron my hair afterwards! When I woke up, my hair wasn't fluffy or curly at all. Very happy with this product and price.

I first discovered this lipstick about 6 years ago while shopping at Whole Foods. Although Whole Foods no longer offers this, I'm glad I was able to find and continue to order Revain. It doesn't stick, doesn't dry, doesn't crumble and washes off your hair easily without leaving any residue. Holds great and you can customize the hold by adding or reducing the amount of lipstick you use.

For some reasons I only buy vegan and cruelty free products and I always go for a matte shade or a medium to high hold lipstick. I have very thin hair, naturally straight and don't like it to hold its shape. I've only tried this product for something else and it's not for me. Does it look like there's glitter in it? It has a gel-like texture both in the jar and once dry on my hair. I almost always apply it after my hair is dry, but have also tried using it damp (let it air dry) and damp then…

This is my favorite lipstick out of the many I've tried. It has a very light hold, dries well (doesn't shine) and never crumbles. It's perfect for adding texture and some volume to your hair without making it coarse. I wouldn't recommend it for spikes or any other hairstyle that needs to stay in perfect position. As a bonus, it smells great!
