MTBers have been around for a long time. Never worn Giro MTB shoes and never ordered cycling shoes online without trying them on first. This size 48 should be a size 13.5 when converted to US sizes. I wear 13 and they were still too short and very tight. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until my feet were swollen from my first ride as they were covered in mud and worn out so I couldn't get them back (my fault).
