Review on Giro 2016 Carbide Cycling Shoes Sports & Fitness for Cycling by Herthoel Yanda

I'm an amateur but these shoes and the clip are great. Order more than what is listed on the Giro website - I bought the recommended size and had to return it and take a full size up (instead of half a size up). The solid shank keeps the foot from hurting where it touches the pedal by spreading the load from the pedal over the entire foot, not just the few inches where the pedals are. The undercut was great - now I ride further and faster than in normal trail shoes and with flat pedals. And yes, the first time I stopped was because of an unexpected car and I didn't forget to unbuckle it after I started falling. It's winter now and I'm wearing better socks in 40 degrees Fahrenheit and yes my toes are a bit cold but they're fine. As a motorcyclist, I knew that these boots with a reinforced shaft, ratchet straps and no laces were made for me. Shoelaces are dangerous :-) Giro gloves are the same - order one size larger! I use them with my new Crank Brothers Double Shot pedals.
