Giro Agilis MIPS Cycling Helmet Review

Never given a five star rating but this helmet deserves it. Simply amazing fit and ten times more comfortable than my $200 Specialized. I have no issues with airflow and there is enough room to easily get into my sunglasses from the front. Just a great buy.

Fit: Snug to the head but not too tight. Comfort: very good, enough that I can't complain after wearing it for several hours over several days. Safety: THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE - I buried myself and hit my head on the ground, no concussion! The helmet was intact and MIPS kept me from shaking. Overall: Would recommend to anyone who has a cheap non-MIPS helmet.

Easily adjustable fit and the helmet is cool and comfortable. I suspect there isn't a bike helmet that protects much better than this one: MIPS is designed to protect you from injury, the plastic outer shell extends to the bottom of the helmet, and there is a plastic reinforcement inside the helmet. It doesn't get much better if you don't want to wear a motorcycle helmet.

Comfortable, good protection. I recently had a bad fall on the handlebars of my e-bike resulting in eight stitches, lots of road rashes and a 2 hour visit to the emergency room. There was no concussion, however, and after careful examination, I found the helmet was intact, as was my skull. This product has undoubtedly saved me from more serious injuries. I would like to find a MIPS rated full face helmet. I hope Gyro is working on one of these.

I'm having a hard time finding helmets to fit my bowler hat that don't look like giant mushrooms. This helmet fits and looks great on me. I didn't even have to adjust the straps. The locking ring also works great and stays in place. Also, a hidden gem for me is that you can slip your sunglasses into the vents when you don't need them and they actually stay there without banging you in the head. Pretty light for MIPS and cost. Great offer in my book. I have a lot of vents too.

Very disappointed with Giro and this helmet. I had to ride about 2 times a week for less than 2 months and the front inner padding was falling apart. I requested a warranty claim from Giro and they told me they didn't have replacement parts and sent me a link to Amazon to buy 3rd party seals - I'm not kidding. I've put off spending over $90 on a bike helmet for years by eschewing MIPS technology and only buying what's on sale. Agilis is the BEST helmet I've ever had! I've worn it in hot weather for three centuries. It seemed very comfortable to me, the head doesn't move side to side or forward/backward - it stays in place. I've had several helmets that slope to one side; this one is not. - The straps are just under my ears and on my face and not bothering at all. Consequently, wind noise from the belts is reduced. - IMO, it has adequate ventilation on the top and sides. - My helmet's mirror fits the helmet easily.…
