Description of Git

Git is easy to learn and has a tiny footprint with lightning fast performance. It outclasses SCM tools like Subversion, CVS, Perforce, and ClearCase with features like cheap local branching, convenient staging areas, and multiple workflows.

Amazing Tool To Collaborate With Team Members

The best part about this tool is that you can use it for different purposes without feeling any difficulty in using it. As compared to other source control management platforms, git gives more room to customize your workflow on its own. Also, I love this software as my team uses this software at our workplace and we are able to collaborate easily among each other by sharing code online. I didn't find anything which was disliked during my usage of git. This is one of those softwares where you…

Pros
  • It's very easy once mastered.
  • You get so much flexibility with managing repositories
  • Can work from anywhere due o having cloud support
  • Easy access via mobile devices too!
Cons
  • Not many community resources yet

I have been using git for years now and love it! It's not perfect but there are tons of extensions that help make most things possible (I use gitaly as my GUI extension). If you're new at version control or even just don't know what everything means then look into other alternatives first before starting this one up - they might be better suited towards your needs/requirements. The benefits in being able to branch easily without having subfolders full of files is super useful when collaborating

Pros
  • I like how it is a distributed version control system and how it works across many different platforms
Cons
  • It's not as intuitive as other systems I've used before and it takes a bit of time to learn

Some users might find it difficult to read log messages when there are many commits in one day. I also found that sometimes it was hard to access some files or folders in my repository. If you want an all-inclusive git solution, this tool will help you keep…
