I'm giving it 3 stars because I bought it slightly used. He was able to hold out for about a year. My cat loves to play fetch and jump on tears. A tear finally came out. I thought it would be stronger. The scratching post is generally wobbly. It was fine for my cat while it lasted. Unfortunately I will not buy again. It's not strong enough for my cat. I like how big he is. It is difficult to find scratching posts of this height.

It was pretty easy to put together and very durable. Our cats dig it up and scratch the rope covered areas, which was intentional. If you are good with money and want a quality cat tower that your cats will love, buy this one. Or you might end up spending twice as much at one of those deals that separate you from large sums of money. Don't be such a cat

Oh my god what a huge piece of junk. Good price, looks good but the ab board broke in the corner near the top of the first plateau because it couldn't support the weight of its own perch. Now I need to take it apart and find a big box to ship back to Revane. I am very disappointed, there is no other way. What a waste of time; and some poor guy who has to carry this box back and forth through the UPS. This has to go in the trash.

Good. I didn't really want a scratching post in my house, but I had two. The first one was great but this one is very cheap. The posts are fuzzy and look worn. The carpet looks more like cheap velvet and wobbles. The visible undersides of the higher platforms are not carpeted internally, so plywood is visible. I would recommend you to look for another brand. UPDATE 8/27/15: After only 3 months of use, the top deck broke off the wood and is now hanging down the side. This is complete rubbish…

So I bought this for my aunt who recently moved in and left her old cat apartment. When I saw it online it looked sturdy and the price was great. Arrived quickly and very easy to set up. I loved this tree - it's a great design and just what I wanted, 2 perches for our kittens to be up and away from the dogs. I read other reviews about its poor design.
