🛠️ GLEX Surface Grinding Shroud for Universal Grinder Review

I bought this to use with a Harbor Freight angle grinder. Unfortunately the "universal" fit did not fit my instrument so I had to return it. As it turned out, all the shrouds I bought were not suitable for my particular application (baseboard corners).

I have not used this item yet but everything in the packaging is identical to the pictures and it is also quite clear as for the installation. The chopper I bought this product for is a Porter 4.5 cable, it fits perfectly and is very firm, it also has an adjustable screw and 3 adapters. This product appears to work very well, time will tell and I will likely update this review after use.

I cannot confirm the review by David B. (4/16/21). The hose fitting on the sheath is 1-1/2" OD, not 1-1/4". My Ridgid Shop vacuum hose is 1-3/4 inch OD. I've found that the PlumbQuik (no longer Fernco) 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" (with adjustable clamps on both ends) PVC flexible coupling on the HD ($7.22 plus tax) works for me works very well. Please note that the actual inner diameters of the PVC flexible coupling are 1/4 inch larger. I used the shroud with a Makita 4-1/2" angle grinder. It fits very…
