The fabric is thin and light.

Fits, size 5 "1" person. Indus also just in time for the rain. The fabric is very thin and light but keeps out the rain which is what I need it for.

Perfect for an Alaskan cruise

Bought this for my husband for our Alaskan cruise. He usually wears 3X the size I bought and it fits as expected. It was amazing for a cruise because it rained all day in Juneau. The jacket was light but kept him dry. It was just what I needed for him.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Low maintenance

cheap looks and cheap quality

it looks and feels very cheap we bought one on ebay at the same time to compare ebay was cheaper so we thought it was from very less Quality and that is from then on since his Revain was 15 dll more expensive it will be better. good wrong! it's super light with no lining and yes, of course it's a windbreaker, but the material feels like a thin plastic bag. Honestly it looks like a thin sheet of plastic and it's quite expensive for this quality.

Pros
  • this is amazing
Cons
  • obsolete model

'Waterproof' isn't true, try 'rainproof'

Had to test this in moderate rain today while walking a mile to work. I wore a t-shirt with this one over it and a light backpack on my back. When I got to work, my t-shirt was soaked where the straps of my backpack pressed against my raincoat. Also, I don't have big arms, but this thing squeezes my elbows when I bend my arms. Finally, the hood is too small to pull up and protect your eyes from falling drops. In general, I cannot recommend it for reasonable practical situations.

  • practical item

Might as well take my money down the toilet and flush it

I admit that this 'jacket' looks very nice on a hanger. That's at least a stroke of luck, because it's completely useless as a jacket. I have shirts that are heavier than this "jacket". Although the description admittedly says it is 'lightweight' I never thought anyone would ever produce such a lightweight jacket as they call a jacket. However, it could be a worthy decorative garment if it cost around $12. or $14, but for what I paid for it I was expecting something that would provide at least…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Expensive

Yes, it fits as expected, but it's overpriced at $33.99!

Can't believe he paid $33.99 for this simple, lightweight jacket that should sell for less than half that price. Yes it fits as expected but compared to others on this site it is overpriced. I also ordered two men's Gioberti waterproof rain jackets from this site for $24.99 each and I would recommend them if you want a heavier weight hooded jacket with a non-removable liner, which is a better buy. Because I love the look of the Global jacket despite the price, I decided to keep it. I can't say…

Good basic raincoat suitable for travel

All I wanted was a nice basic black raincoat for summer travel but it was surprisingly hard to find. Most have a huge logo on the chest, or white mesh on the inside, or some weird flaps on the back, or are too heavy. Very glad I finally found this. This is a lightweight thin summer rain jacket. It folds up nice and small, I usually roll it in my bag and put everything in my bag. Barley weighs everything, so you can put it in a suitcase or take it with you. It sings a little in the forearms, but

Update 1 year later: WATCH THIS VIDEO FIRST

RAIN: This jacket is WRONGLY labeled as waterproof. Even a small stain, as shown in the video, will soak this jacket. I also tested this when I went for a 10-minute walk with my dog in a LIGHT drizzle and got wet. These positive comments worry me. huge red flags unless they sent me a fake one. WIND: As a primary windbreaker for a light day hike with no rain in the forecast, this will be fine, but DO NOT take it on a bike, I learned the hard way. Elasticated wrists and an adjustable…
