Not Worth the Money Spent

Based on my experience, this GPS receiver is not worth the money spent. The device failed to provide accurate results even in open areas. The only pro of this product is its compact size, but the cons are that it needs external power and the software is outdated. I would advise buyers to look for other options in GPS receivers and not waste their money on this one. Electronics should perform better than this!

Pros
  • Highly accurate and responsive GPS tracking with 5Hz refresh rate
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Ideal for data collection applications

I am using this device with a data collection system to collect GPS data from test vehicles. It works well and appears to be of good quality. The magnet is adequate but not super strong; In a high speed application I might put a zip tie or tape over it just to be sure. The cable is long enough and the 5Hz frequency is suitable for most driving tasks. I used the software that came with it. It works, but I can't form a good opinion on it due to my limited use.

Pros
  • 48 channel tracking of all visible objects
Cons
  • Functionality

AVOID! Win10, ESRI, or Google Earth

Waste of $100! Neither I nor my GIS experts could work with Win 10 and ArcMap 10.5 or 10.6 or Google Earth Pro. An annoying waste of money. Especially when the product specs say it works with Windows 10. Save money and make things worse! This technology is not new and not rocket science. My old Garmin Legend with a black and white screen is way better than this cumbersome piece of junk. It couldn't even interact with the included test software, and several people have been doing similar thingsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Built-in magnetic mount
Cons
  • Available in white only
