Major Design Defect

This wall socket seemed like the perfect solution for my needs, but when I got it I quickly realized that for a very strange reason it was unusable. The device plugs into both sockets in your wall, but only the bottom plug actually draws power, while the top one is just plastic and plugs into the holes. The problem is that the "stems" (I have no idea what the technical term is) on these fake forks are shorter than normal forks (see attached photo) which allows the unit to tilt a little at the…

Pros
  • UL RATING 5 STAR RATING: UL rated 5 star rating to help protect your electronics. Total in the outlet: 6
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good plan - they saved 5 cents for this.

A standard duplex socket has two sets of male pins, one for each socket. The "active" or live pins are made from standard metal, while the "fake" ones are made from the most fragile plastic junk imaginable. If the "dummy" pins weren't made out of cheap plastic, this product would be worth the money. After you put it in a standard container, the plastic pins broke off immediately without even entering the container. This caused the device to fall at a 30 degree angle as the only thing holding it

Pros
  • UL CERTIFIED WITH 5 STAR PROTECTION: UL certified with 5 star protection to protect your electronics. Total number of sockets: 6
Cons
  • weak

A good adapter to keep a few things in mind

This adapter works well and looks great on the wall. The terminals are firm for a secure connection, and I love that the shape matches the various "power adapters" that come with some items. Two things to note. Firstly, it just plugs into the top half of your outlet, there is a plastic dowel pin on the bottom of the adapter that fits into a hole in the base on the bottom half. This means it gets all of its power from the top half, but since both halves of the vessel are connected it doesn't…

Pros
  • WARRANTY: Comes with a 2 year surge protection guarantee that protects connected devices up to $300,000
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Great two-pronged solution to the "plug war "

Like most people with lots of devices, I have problems with the "Cable Management". This is especially true in the living room where my wife and I spend most of our time as we get older and older! With a TV, cable boxes, soundbars, iPhones, 3 tablets, two laptops and lamps, things can get pretty messy. I've tried zip ties, wire covers, lockable surge protectors, and many other types of products to bring order to the chaos that's been crawling off desks throughout the week. I recently chose a…
