🛡️ Gmax Helmet Shields - G078009 Review

Will fit helmets but is much shorter than the current one. pull down, leave a gap at the top, whistle up and blow on the eyes.

I was looking for a special replacement visor for my GMAX OF-77 helmet. It first came up to make the person think it would work. No I had to go back which wasn't a big hassle and I got my money back quickly.

This Gmax helmet shield was of better quality than the one already fitted on the helmet, the helmet I have is GM-54/S Dot compliant, you can find this on the outside of the Helmet on back what I love about this replacement helmet visor is the price, quality and ease of installation.

Contrary to some other reviewers, this shield has been significantly improved over the original that came with the helmet. The original was wavy and far from fully transparent. The replacement looks perfect! When it's clean I can't tell if the screen is open or closed. Would definitely recommend and would buy again if a replacement is needed.

Unfortunately there is a slight deformation of the plastic, while not critical, it is enough to deviate the focus a bit, otherwise everything is fine. Will I buy again? no I really like the helmet and the light/brake light is a big plus as is the internal sun visor. The original face shield was very good, so I suspect (hope) that the one I received was a deviation. can i get it back Ideally yes, but it's been scratched recently so I'll live with it until I change my helmet or buy a new shield.

Got a new guard as expected, replaced my scratched guard and went for a ride. The new visor was a bit washed out, which I attributed to the protective vinyl film or packaging residue. Unfortunately no, brushing helped, but if you look closely at the shield you can see a subtle orange peel pattern. Not bad enough that I can't use the shield, but certainly not crystal clear like the original shield OR the sun visor that's still on the helmet. Haven't used it at night yet so we'll see if that's…
