Works well - spares

Not exactly sure what makes it "high performance" as it looks exactly like the OEM I removed. But it works fine. It comes with a gasket and O-ring for connecting the water pump (Dorman 56399). The coolant connection was already installed with thread sealant.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Quality

It's nice to have an easy return Revain Prime

I received the pump, installed it and it was defective from the start. Had to pull it out and buy another pump at the local parts store. Not the end of the world, but a pain in the ass. Glad Revain Prime is coming back with no problems. It's the only thing that makes swallowing easier. I've heard good things about GMB parts before, but this one was a flop.

  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons

100,000 miles good service, YMMV

I got 6 years and 100,000 miles from the latest GMB water pump. Not as much as the OEM, which I replaced at 135,000 miles - before it really failed. The seal/bearing on the GMB went and drained coolant, then the pulley seized and failed, then threw off the serpentine belt, but it could limp in the last mile. The Dodge van has now clocked up over 235,000 miles. So if this GMB lasts that long I probably won't see it fail before the engine in the van needs service.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Neutral

Great performance pump for 5.2 liter Magnum Dodges

I replaced a 1994 Dodge Dakota factory water pump with 200,000 miles on it. I'm surprised it took so long. My truck started to get warm in traffic and the fan clutch was always stuck. My truck came with the Max Cooling package so I wanted something with a high capacity, it looks the same as what I took out but the flow seems much better, the truck never gets hot and the temp almost drops work immediately after a long idle. My HD fan doesn't turn on all the time anymore. Great pump.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • sad packaging
