Better than the original

Simple design and easy to replace. This part does not require the use of a center bolt attached to the camshaft like the old one did. At first I didn't understand and thought I got the wrong pump. Works great and doesn't leak!

Worked great for my Ford 500. If you .

Worked great on my Ford 500. If you have trouble with the lugs on the cam driven water pump sticking to the cam lug, use those. After almost retiring to replace the camshaft because aftermarket pumps didn't have a bolt or original plumbing, I found the original pump and was back in business.

Do Not Buy For Your Ford

This is an updated review. DO NOT BUY FOR YOUR FORD! This pump uses a keyway on the camshaft extension to start the pump. My friend's Ford Five Hundred started overheating a few weeks after installing it and the key came off. Now the same thing happened with my 3.0 Duratec. The only solution is to disassemble the engine and install a new camshaft. Can't stress this enough, don't buy this, go to the OEM

Failed in 5 months!

uses two locking notches slotted into the camshaft instead of the OEM which uses a bolt connecting the water pump, the material used to cast is sheared off five months after installation left me stuck, engine and transmission overheated! I originally thought $80 was a good deal versus a $240 OEM water pump, now I know better. I was so wrong! it only lasted 12,000 miles! NOT WORTH THE WORK. A word of warning and a word of wisdom: Buy an OEM water pump, at least for your Ford.
