So pretty! Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

As someone from South Carolina (where pineapple symbolizes hospitality) this was absolutely the right choice for me. The holes could be a bit bigger, but they do the job! They also look great next to the crystal accessories on my dining table. And I love how you can see if you're almost out. Excellent purchase.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Tradable

Nice shaker but bad cork

Shaker is ok, looks more like cut glass than crystal. I'm having trouble with the bottom stops. They are very wide, very weak, very weak, very thin, pieces of plastic are inserted into the bottom of each device. I don't see those cheap flimsy corks working after 2 or 3 shaker refills. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • No paint required

Cute s&p crystal shakers

The shakers are pretty cute. I've always thought of pineapples as a sign of hospitality, so they look beautiful on the dining table when guests come over. My only concern is that the cork is plastic on the bottom and doesn't seem that tight. I think that with normal wear (filling) it will definitely come loose. A rubber stopper would be better.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • too stupid

Just for show. for salt and pepper shaker sets

Purchased May 2014 Shakers look great as pictured. The function is fine, you need to use finely ground pepper and regular salt. No coarsely ground pepper or sea salt. My complaint, like many others, is the bottom plugs. They are very difficult to remove and fragile. Mine is broken in the middle. The way I see it, there is no substitute. They're on the shelf, they're nice to look at, but they don't last long for seasoning food.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

I really like these pineapple salt and pepper shakers

I really like these pineapple salt and pepper shakers especially because they are transparent so you can see who's who. HOWEVER the bottom cap is plastic and once they're opened a few times to refill they stop being very tight. So you take your shaker and the bottom pops out. Salt or pepper wherever you don't need it. They should have a rubber stopper at the bottom like most shakers. upset.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • I'll add later

Won't be buying any more salt and pepper shaker sets

They were the size I expected and for the price the pineapple was good too but the cork at the bottom wasn't a rubber stopper or anything like that I had ever seen on a salt and pepper shaker. It was just a thin piece of flimsy plastic that barely or loosely fitted. I don't use them much because I don't think the bottom will fall out. I wouldn't buy them again. Now I need to find corks to use or trim the cork to fit in order for them to be used at all.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Weak plastic base

They look good but the base is a flimsy piece of plastic made from a disposable plastic cup. It's very strange to be the bottom of a salt/pepper shaker. See photos. I think after plugging and unplugging the plastic a few times it ended up being too worn down and was useless to hold the salt/pepper. Also the top holes of the dispenser are not of the best quality. I actually bought them to use and they seem to be for decoration only. Slightly bad quality :-(

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
