I really love these flashes - I originally bought a bundle with them.

I really like these flashes - I originally bought the X1T Trigger Pack and then upgraded to Xpro. Flashes work fine both on camera and off with the shutter button on. The included softbox came in handy for a spontaneous shoot with my friend's son. This shot was taken with two V860II-S flashes and an Xpro-S trigger. You can definitely do the same with X1T - Xpro is much easier to use (IMHO).

The charger scares me

The flash mostly behaves as expected, but the charger bothers me. When it is connected to the mains, whether it is charging or not, it will make a high-pitched sound. I won't leave it on unless I'm charging because a) I'm not sure why it's making that noise, and b) who knows if anything else out of the ordinary will happen. Does this happen to anyone else? I get really worried when I charge the battery and I want to keep all the packaging so I can just send it back. To be honest it didn't catch

This flash is a beast!

I hate to brag but this flash is amazing! I used to use a Canon Speedlite and had no idea there was such a powerful flash that I didn't need to worry about the refresh rate. I don't want to scold the Speedlite, it was a great flash but I was probably only able to get 2 or 3 flashes in bursts before it needed an upgrade. Moments were lost all the time. In comparison, Godox is a lithium battery. I flashed a red carpet event for two full hours and A) the flash never updated with continuous 4 frame

Very happy with this

Everything works perfectly. Bought this for the HSS (High Speed Sync) alone. If you've never used a flash before, do yourself a favor and keep the manual with you until you get the hang of it. I bought it with the Godox X2T-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger and it paired with no problems. It worked on the first try with WiFi and connected to an A7 camera. The build feels solid, feels comfortable, and isn't absurdly heavy, but when you've got a pound lens, flash, and camera, one-handed shooting…

Good flash for the price

The first thing I know is what I don't like about the Godox V860II(S) flash, which is the material it's made of, it feels cheap. If you are unfamiliar with camera hardware or need to set it up very quickly, this flash may not be for you. What I like about this flash is the update cycle time, the cost of the v860II(S) flash, and the flash capabilities. I'm not really a flash expert, but there is a feature that isn't available on Sony cameras and as far as I know it's more about Sony than Godox…

  • I vaguely remember

I'm in love with the Godox line. I did some unboxing and comparisons on my Legacy Studio Reviews YouTube channel. So far I only see the hot shoe as a negative, mainly because of the "teeth" on the shoe. Watch the video to see what I mean. But the build quality is excellent and the flashes work in leaps and bounds. I have both the TT685S and V860IIS and both have far more pros than cons. can only take about 250 shots at full power. Pros: The V850 can approach 900 at full power. Cons: The V850…

Working flash, durable, reliable

20180810: Great flash. I have three of these now. I used them on a 9 hour shoot and the flash batteries never ran out and the flash always worked. These units work in radio or photo mode, in TTL or manual mode and in strobe mode. They support HSS and also act as a transmitter if you want to connect it directly to the camera. The devices offer lens beam control up to 200 mm. My fourth flash is the TT600 but mostly I rely on these V860 units because the lithium power supply lasts much longer…

Great bang for your buck!

I'm just starting out with wedding photography and using flash is a game changer, especially at night during the reception and of course in low light! Godox V860II-S works great! The company I am currently shooting for uses only flash on the camera all day! This is what they look like and I'm tired of borrowing their lenses and flashes (they use a Canon 5d Mark III), these cameras are monstrous! They're heavy and bulky, and they're too big to carry around. The Godox flash is significantly…

Flash not fully functional

This review relates to the Godot V860II S flash for Sony cameras. This flash has many attractive features, but unfortunately some of them don't work. For example, the flash should automatically adjust to changes in focal length when using a zoom lens. To do this, it has both an automatic mode (where the flash adjusts itself and displays this setting on the LED screen) and a manual mode, where you can manually enter the desired focal length using the dial on the back. None of them worked. I…
