Ideal for Home Theater

with Category 5 I was able to use this to connect my BENQ T800k and HTPC to Enclave Cineaudio. No problem. Used flat white cat 6, hid them under the base. Excellent 4k streaming, 4k mkv playback from HTPC

Pros
  • Long Range
Cons
  • Empty

Excellent unit as described

Picture quality is excellent. I'm running it over 100 feet of Category 6 cable. The only thing I have to find out is that sometimes the unit won't turn on when I turn on the TV. I would have to unplug and plug the cord back in (which is why I'm giving it four stars, but realize I might be doing something wrong)

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • I am concerned

Brand new out of the box and not working

Out of the box and never turned on. The power cord has an oddly designed plug which is awful and doesn't make any sense except to save money. This alone seems cheap and poorly assembled. If you need something like this for a customer, don't buy it, you'll look bad.

Pros
  • Large selection

Reliable performer for remote controlled power strips

I wasn't expecting this power strip too much. I'm an audio and video professional and used to using expensive equipment in my clients' homes. I've moved to a new house and decided to try it out for myself - the PoC feature is fantastic and seems to stream 4K HDR content with no hiccups. We'll see how it works in the long run, but for now it's highly recommended. Unfortunately I can't talk about the IR control function as I use IP to control my TV.

Stay away from remote controls and accessories

Poor quality and customer service. I couldn't get a signal to drive 30 feet to my projector. Contacted Gofanco and received no reply for over 48 hours. Bought an Atlona extension cord and it worked right away. Cannot walk the specified distance. The model I bought said it could record 4K up to 70ft but wouldn't work at 30ft. The old adage suits me, you get what you pay for. Athlone is more expensive, but it really worked. Also, the only support they offer is via email and they are not prompted.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Bad product: remote controls and accessories

Dealer Home Audio Installation. Bought 3 of these units to transmit sound to a remote headend. 25 feet maximum from each display. Category 6 cable. The first was bad out of the box. No picture or infinite loop. The second worked to transmit sound to a Yamaha receiver. The loop out worked for the display - LG 6190 75 inch. There is no possibility of remote control from the txr to the rcv block. Error setting or disabling sound. existing. Exit the VM and hope they contact you. Call at 1:00 p.m…

  • Nice to use

So good I bought two!

HDMI over Ethernet was a bit difficult to learn. Before settling on Gofanco, I used another vendor's product with disappointing results, mainly picture dropouts at awkward moments, which turned out to be poor hardware, not my wiring work. I've been very happy since I switched to Gofanco. Gofanco's instructions and recommendations are correct. Their gear worked fine with the same CAT6A cabling. Your best cabling recommendation is Cat6/6A/7 (non-stranded) pre-assembled solid copper cabling…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Annoying
