Gold Leaf Sheets 1000 Real Review

NOT 999/1000 Gold. They lie. I hate this. I bought this for my wife for calligraphy and illumination. complete failure; does not stick to the usual calligraphy stickers. OTOH, I've used it successfully to gild some work projects, but I used 3M spray glue and a baton, not a polisher (which ripped the sheet). It's cheap enough to try if you don't plan to do a good job, but if you're trying to recreate medieval lighting this won't work.

I would give zero stars but that's not an option. I bought it to use in lighting to make Shell Gold. What I received is clearly not real gold. Shell gold is made by hand polishing 23.5 or 24 karat gold leaf. It must be crushed into very fine particles. It usually takes around 1-2 hours to polish real gold. Silver is a little more difficult but takes a little longer, around 2-3 hours. I spent 4 hours polishing this gold leaf but it was still very grainy and didn't break well. You can see the…
