This tool did an excellent job completing a significant repair of ceilings and plasterboard walls. Good spring control. Works well on taped seams as well as grease free surfaces. Much better finish and control than square edge grinders which tend to plunge and cut.

Much better than the square sander I bought. But I would give this grinder 0 stars if I had to rate it. The grinding pressure is generally even across the wheel and the wheel doesn't spin, but it does loosen up so I keep threading the adapter around the handle I'm using. I don't know how to fix it. Maybe there's a locknut somewhere.

This is normal for surface grinding but the head tends to rotate (tighten center nut to minimize rotation). But it's less than useless for inside corners. The outside edge doesn't effectively grind the corner, while the center grinds the area outside the corner. Buy Black Widow instead. It's rectangular so it works well in inside corners, and each sanding sheet has an attached foam pad so you're always working with a new pad.

Best drywall sander I've ever used stays flat on the surface and covers a larger area than usual Square shaped grinders will never use another grinder. This is the second one we have, the local hardware store and home storage no longer have them. We had to buy a second one because we're fighting for the one we have. I don't see how you can be disappointed, it makes a dusty mess without a vacuum attachment so this is a great tool for people who pride themselves on their attention to detail.
