🌿 Teak Protector - Golden Care Review

I sanded the teak chairs and then applied this product. It brought the color back and now my chairs look and feel good after being gray for the past year. This product is a great alternative to the teak oil we originally used to protect our deck from the elements. But then, a few months later, we noticed black spots all over the wood, and only then did we learn that the oil is "food" for fungus and mold. I didn't get the Golden Care label, but I believe that a Manufacturer makes the same product and sells it under several different brands for furniture stores, so it didn't bother me at all - 3 months (I read somewhere that before applying such a protectant you need at least 2 weeks) Then I have the set with me washed with a soft brush and some Dawn dishwashing liquid, hosed down and allowed to dry for a day before getting up early to brave the heat and apply the product.I rubbed a block of fine

I can't rate the long term protection this offers as I've just applied it but according to other reviews it didn't bother me too much. I was mainly concerned about getting my teak table orange and after two coats of paint I was relieved to find that the color was very similar to the original color of my new teak table.
