I buy a lot of paint and nothing compares to it.

I buy a lot of colors and nothing compares to Golden. This particular color is always sold out at my art supply store, so when I run out of Revain colors I can always find myself. Don't let the small packaging fool you, a little goes a long way! If I decide to use gold in any of my work, I will choose this product.

Bottle cap missing?

I would like to start by saying that I usually love Golden products. I don't know if this is a packaging error from Revain or a quality control issue at Golden, but my inks have arrived and one is missing the cap. I'm hesitant to open it now because I don't have a good way of capping it and I don't want to risk drying out an expensive bottle of paint. :(

Surprisingly Weird Rainbow Colors

Golden's Interference Paints are a little hard to understand until you use them. They are transparent except when they are not. They are "metallic" - rather iridescent, but the effect comes from interaction with the background color and not solely from the color itself. They show up better on a dark background than a light one. The color listed for color is the color you see on a black background; Reflectivity and color may vary depending on the drawing. In other words, they're a little weird…
