Low Quality: Upholstery and Trim Tools

Quality is mediocre at best. The biggest problem is that the plastic is too brittle. So if you try to take the clips out, the tab on the inside will break, so you'll end up having to use force to unclip the outside tab as there's nothing to hold on to in the center. retreat

Plastic type not perfect

Plastic is hard and very brittle. It's not like OEM plastic which is a bit flexible and more durable. I had several of these cracks during installation because the legs don't want to flex very easily to expand. Also the dimensions are not very precise, many plugs are larger than they are intended to replace.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • No instructions

Cheap disposable plastic caps

I was very happy about this as I have 5 cars with so many drivers at home. Bought them specifically for a project on my son's Prius. I found fasteners in the box that worked, but I had to remove some to adjust something and in doing so I discovered how cheap the plastic is. The heads just crumbled under any pressure to remove them. The tool that came with the kit did a good job removing the bearing mounts, but the plastic in the new ones is rubbish. I sent them back and luckily got my money…

Great set, terrible case

So the good news -- It's a good range and tool. The bad news -- There's no room for tools in the case that comes with the kit! You should store them separately or use a shipping box to keep everything together. Why on earth provide a storage case that purposely does NOT contain everything? By this I mean that the required hole should be large, for example for mudguards and the like. If you are dealing with small holes (e.g. hood trim), buy another kit. This kit is designed for larger…

Cheap Insurance Policy

I needed to remove some fender and chassis covers on a Jeep WK2. Each cap had a combination of 19mm metric screws (3/4" I think) and plastic mounts. Because I knew "Mr. "Murphy" was in place when the cover was removed, I bought a kit "Murphy damaged a couple of clips and the kit included accurate looking replacement parts. The included clip remover was slightly smaller and the set of Wizegrips was probably responsible for the clip's curvature. The kit costs significantly less money than buying…

Do they fit in the hood flaps of my B-29?

Why didn't I find these earlier. How many times have I walked into an auto parts store and spent $4 for just 3 rivets. I just opened the box an hour ago and it's Christmas again. If you're wondering if they'll fit that pesky 8-track rail on your Pacer, measure the hole with a drill and check the chart in pic I. posted. They are 1/4"-5/16"-3/8"-23/64". If you can't, ask your little sister for help. They will go with anything in this size range, you just have to decide how durable you want them…

  • Easy installation
