Best E Collar I've found/used for 8 dogs over 28 years!

My 76-lb, rescued, female Boxer, MINI (age 8 yrs old), had lateral suture surgery to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament. She was in so much pain she barely moved at all for the first 2 days, just slept. Thus, I left her E collar off during that time. After 2 days she became very aware of her (unwrapped) surgical wound, and especially her shaved front Right forearm where her surgical IV was placed. She licked her R forearm (when I wasn't watching) nearly raw. Far less often Mini would lick her…

Pros
  • Eliminates the risk of your pet getting stuck or snagged on furniture or objects around the house
Cons
  • The collar may not be suitable for pets who are already anxious or stressed from their surgery or injury

These are a must for K9 post surgeries!

These are so much easier to work with than the plastic Elizabeth collars (E-Collars).I was so happy when these came onto the market long ago. It's been years since I had to use an E-collar for one of my dogs but I recently rescued a 10yo retriever who hadn't been spayed so I hopped on and bought another. These inflatable collars are so much more easier for the dogs to get around in, especially if you have a shy or skidding pup. Ramming the plastic cones into walls, door frames or furniture only

Pros
  • Dogs
Cons
  • The collar may not offer enough coverage to protect all types of wounds

She "NOPED " so I knew it was PERFECT!

Dog description: Angel Bear. But her street name is Angel. Don't wanna ruin her rep! Angel is a Siberian Pain In The A**. Sorry, typo! Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees mix. She's around 65-75 lbs (depending on how many tacos she eats -- she's trying to keep her girlish figure, so I'd say she's about 70 lbs right now, right in the middle). I ordered her an XL. Her 9th birthday is October 21st. She is a 2011 pup, so she's dodged that "Millennial" bullet. (I'm considered a "Millennial," so. No…

Pros
  • Cute pink donut design adds a touch of fun to the recovery process
Cons
  • The collar may impede your pet's vision, making it difficult for them to move around

Spaniel approved! good for me

I was looking for a post-neuter alternative to a cone for my English cocker spaniel Linus (he weighs 25 pounds and I used a size 2, for reference). As he is a fairly long-bodied and weirdly flexible dog, I had worried he might devise some contortion to bypass the collar. He did once, but that was user error as my husband put it on wrong with the opening in the front (it needs to be in the back); once corrected, it was fine. After 5 days, Linus hasn’t minded wearing it at all; in fact, I think…

Pros
  • Comfortable – This inflatable neck donut is a soft and lightweight alternative to a traditional e-collar cone, designed to prevent your pet from biting or licking surgery sites, injuries, rashes, or stitches. With cozy fleece for your pet’s comfort, it allows your pet to eat, drink, play, and sleep normally and doesn’t block their vision during their recovery. The soft donut fits right around your pet’s collar and can be used with dogs or cats
Cons
  • The collar may be difficult to clean without damaging the inflatable material

very comfortable in my review

My Standard poodle liked it, he was very comfortable wearing it and even used it as a pillow.unfortunately poodles are very "bendy" they are able to bend in ways you would not imagine, he was able to bend down and reach his incision and scrotum very easily so we ended up going with the traditional uncomfortable cone instead. I would fully recommend this product for someone with a different breed of dog. not for a Standard poodle.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • The collar may not fit all pets properly, leading to discomfort or ineffectiveness

Comfortable, but get right size

I like this product because my dog took to it right away and he sleeps on it, like it is a pillow. The only issue we had was size. Our dog is around 75 lbs and his neck measured 18 inches. So, we ordered the large. However, with it inflated as suggested, which is about 95%, there is enough space between it and his neck that he has gotten a paw stuck in it twice. This wouldn't be a big deal, but it happened once when we were all sleeping and not sure how long the poor boy was like that. The…

Pros
  • Lightweight design won't weigh down your pet or hinder their movements
Cons
  • The product may not be an effective deterrent for pets who are determined to access their wounds

Good product, great customer service!

This device worked wonders for my dog when his hotspot licking was out of control. I tried other "solutions,” but none of them could fully prevent him from licking his hip without also being very uncomfortable. One device actually gave him a new hot spot on his neck! The Good Boy collar was comfortable and fully effective.I used the past tense there because he and his canine buddies were roughhousing a few days ago, and they pulled the collar off of him and popped the inner tube. I contacted…

Pros
  • Provides a comfortable and less restrictive alternative to traditional cone collars for post-surgery or wound recovery
Cons
  • The inflatable collar may not be suitable for pets with severe injuries or surgeries

What can I not say: my feedback

Wow, this is so great. My dog came home with that plastic cone and let me tell you I hate those things. But this one is great no more bruises or cuts on my legs. No more banging the walls or anything else. I bought this one because it is a great price and I read the reviews.Let me just tell you my dog had surgery. She ripped her skin well kind of like getting skinned on her back. Twelve inches from the boat propeller when we were play ball. This saved us and helped us so much. Just be careful…

Pros
  • Warranty Covers Chew Damage & Wrong Size - In addition to what a standard warranty entails, we are going the extra mile and offering you a replacement collar If your pup manages to chew through the strap or bite a hole in the collar making it deflate. We can also replace the collar for a different size if it does not fit properly.
Cons
  • The pink color may not be appealing to pet owners who prefer more neutral shades

Very comfortable for our boy Rosco who has a mass at the under-part base of his tail which he has been non stop licking at causing it to get worse and the area it is located at there is not enough skin to remove the whole mass so we purchased this to hopefully stop him from licking it so we can get it to shrink and not be so horribly irritated so the vets can get it removed off our poor boy! The first time my fiance just tried to put it around him b4 putting his collar on it and he didn't seem…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain, simply wipe down with a damp cloth
Cons
  • The inflatable material may not hold up well to chewing or scratching by your pet

I needed these right away for 3 tiny Chihuahuas who had just been spayed. Did not even know that such an item existed until vet tech told me. Each comes with 3 loops to attach to collar - one was torn off. I will contact seller and update. Purchased 2 in size one. Tried a blue one of another brand just in case. Apart from the torn loop, these are just WONDERFUL! The covering material is soft and velvety. It can be blown up partially for a softer pillow. The clasp on the outside is sturdy and…

Pros
  • Ideal for pets with skin conditions or allergies who need to avoid contact with irritants
Cons
  • The collar may make it difficult for your pet to eat or drink during the recovery period

Product worked great

What I didn't realize about this one is that it attaches to the dog's collar. Initially I put it on my dog (a Weimaraner with a slim profile head and ears) and she pawed it back off. I measured her collar instead of her neck and didn't consider that she lost weight while at the vet so I should have ordered a smaller size. I was about to return it and then I looked at the packaging and saw the instructions that show you can feed their collar through 3 separate inner nylon loops to help keep the…

Pros
  • Helps prevent your pet from further injury or aggravating existing wounds during the healing process
Cons
  • Some pet owners may not find the inflatable design to be aesthetically pleasing

Returned - Dogs refused to wear the donut

The donut is much better than the cone of shame. With that said -- my two 10 month old female doodles refused to wear the collar even after acclimating them to the idea and going through the training process prior to their surgery. Once I brought them home from getting spayed and put the collar on them they started struggling and trying to get the donut off. After watching them struggle for two hours I couldn't risk an injury due to their unhappiness. Switched them into Suitical Onesies body…

Pros
  • Restricts Biting And Licking – Similar to an e-collar cone, this soft, protective collar will prevent your dog or cat from biting or licking surgery sites, rashes, stitches, or wounds during their recovery. This inflatable collar is thicker than standard inflatable recovery collars, making it harder for your cat or dog to reach surgery sites or wounds on their body. This helps your pet recover quickly while still allowing them to rest comfortably
Cons
  • Some pets may find it uncomfortable and may attempt to remove the collar

Dog Approved! on my review.

My dog did so well with this instead of a cone after her spay procedure. She wore it at night and used it like a pillow. Easy to adjust the neck sizing and slips right on a collar to secure on your pup!

Pros
  • Soft and flexible material doesn't irritate or scratch skin, preventing further discomfort for pets
Cons
  • The collar may not be durable enough to withstand constant use over time
