I have been buying these Goody Polybands for many years. Despite my good judgment, I ignored the recent reviews of these bands and placed an order when I recently ran out of stock. The first one I used broke right out of the box. Thinking it might be an accident, I moved a little more cautiously. They are flimsy, flimsy and break regularly - unlike the old ones which could be used over and over again. I never had a strand break in my hair until I bought it. These hair ties work well. They are designed for one use only, which I find very wasteful. You will feel them stretch the first time you use them. The most frustrating part is that half the time they don't even make it through the day. I use them at the end of my braid and many days I look down 3/4 of the day and realize my hair is loose because the elastic has snapped somewhere. Very annoying. I've been buying this brand from regular retailers for a year and have never had a problem. The ones I got when I ordered from Amazon were MUCH below the standard I'm used to. I have thick hair but this has never been a problem with my good elastics in the past. The few times I used them I was out in public with my hair up and they just broke and my hair fell out. These bars are very light. NOT IMPRESSED. Did I get a bad batch?

Every time I wear them, they break! This can happen after a few hours (like when I got on a plane and then my ponytail fell apart). I may have gotten a bad batch but after 5 of these break my hair I throw them away! They never break when I put them on - it's only when I get into my workday and I don't have another hair tie handy. I have purchased these clear rubber bands before and they have always lived up to my expectations.
