Description of Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice 2 225/45 R17 94T winter

The Goodyear Ultra Ice 2 studless winter tire is the result of three years of hard work, as well as an attempt to close the gap with European competitors in this tire segment. Judging by the first tests conducted by independent specialized media, it turned out to be more than successful, since this model showed a significant advantage over the ones that previously occupied the highest rungs in various ratings. Most potential buyers will be able to experience the excellent performance of this tire very soon. It is already on sale, and its size range, consisting of 29 standard sizes, provides it with excellent applicability. "Cryo-adaptive" rubber compound One of the most notable innovations of this North American novelty is a rubber compound, which the manufacturer''s marketers loudly call "cryo-adaptive". This term, translated into a more understandable Russian language, means that the tire tread remains elastic even at very low temperatures, which in North America are considered to be values exceeding minus 25 degrees Celsius. This was achieved due to the new components of the rubber compound, which gained the ability to maintain elasticity at an optimal level in a very wide temperature range without compromising other equally important characteristics, primarily high-temperature resistance and abrasion resistance. New V-shaped tread pattern For decades, Goodyear has exclusively produced winter tires with a V-shaped tread pattern. This model is another step forward in this direction, because it is largely due to the tread pattern that it has surpassed its predecessor in grip on snow and ice. At the same time, most of the innovations were in the central part of the tread pattern. She lost the longitudinal ribs, which gave way to numerous arrow-shaped blocks, stretching from one shoulder area to another. During movement, these tread blocks form many very long grip lips at a significant angle relative to the direction of rotation of the wheel. Here, too, one cannot fail to note the high structural rigidity of these tread elements. This center tread design gives the Goodyear UltraGrip Ice 2 a number of very important qualities. First of all, these are very high traction properties in the longitudinal direction, excellent directional stability, low noise level and rolling resistance. The original design of the shoulder zones Another innovation of this model was the modified design of the shoulder zones. They contain much fewer individual blocks than their predecessor, which allowed them to increase significantly in size. In combination with the design of the central part, this design feature provides a much more uniform distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, which, in turn,

I didn't like it, I don't recommend buying it.

Everything is in order from a hygienic and comfort standpoint. In terms of wear, I'm not ready to make a determination just yet, but in terms of strength, no, not for "special" roads (roads with potholes). That sums it all for a city located in the central area of the region.

Pros
  • It is delicious both on the "porridge" and the crust. When traveling on ice, there is a very minor drift in the corners.
Cons
  • I had to use a car that already had tires fitted, so the tires are not extra-large, and the sides are just slightly flexible. Once when traveling "sideways" at a speed of approximately 40 kilometers per hour, the balloon was absent.

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

Spikes were my mode of transportation throughout my entire life until a few years back, when I decided to spend the winter in Asia. You shouldn't ride spikes in the fall and then come back to St. I ventured to leave them for the entire winter. I'm shocked to find that, in the end, it's unlikely that I'll go back to the spikes. It is obvious that you will need to have a good Velcro model that has been tried and tested over the years, as well as the Velcro option for northern winters. In this…

Pros
  • Asphalt 5 Packed snow 5 Snow porridge 4 Bare ice 3 Grade of difficulty:
Cons
  • If I am correct, there should be no deficiencies since everything is working well. in addition to having a front-wheel drive configuration

In use for the first season, so far the impressions are positive. Good tires, smooth, easily balanced. They keep getting into the pits, there are no hernias. Satisfied, I hope they will go for a long time. Acceptable price. Purchased about 7000 for one tire 205/55/16 in September 2022.

Pros
  • Nice soft rubber. It rows well in the snow, it is quite stable on ice. Good braking. Before that I used bf-Goodrich g-force winter 2, in general I am satisfied with the transition. Distributed, it is possible to buy in any store. Also quite quiet. Compared to the summer Michelin primacy 4, this tire is quieter, apparently due to the softer compound.
Cons
  • Not identified.

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

I took 225/45 R17 94T XL on Opel Meriva B. The climate in and around Hong Kong right now is absolutely ideal for putting winter tires through their paces:. In some parts of the city, we have rain and snow porridge, in other parts we have crust and ice, while in the countryside we have pure snow. Rubber never fails, I recommend!

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

After 15 spiking seasons, the first velcro season has arrived. They drive as calmly and confidently as if it were the middle of summer on the rolled snow, wet, damp, and freezing asphalt. I am content with both my selection and the balance between the cost and the product's quality.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

Before these tires, I had a Japanese yokohama winter drive 902. Goodyear feels a little better in the snow. But not so well controlled on dry pavement, for me this is important, because. I change shoes before the rest. In general, not bad tires, but you should not expect revelations from them, like some in the reviews .
