Waste of money on cell phones

Just avoid the black phone. It's a fingerprint magnet. The screen quality of the phone is not very good. My Pixel XL or Pixel 2 XL is much better. I'm a Google fanatic. So I bought the phone on day 1. Now I have to keep using the phone for the next year until they come out with the Pixel 5 XL. The only improvement is the quality of the camera. I'm not sure why YouTube reviewers say the screen quality is good or the phone is good. I see no reason to buy this phone.

Great phone. in phones

Bought this for my adult son for Christmas to replace his original Pixel that was losing battery life. He's a professional photographer and originally bought the Pixel for the quality of his camera - and he wasn't disappointed. Activation (Verizon) was a simple SIM swap and connecting to the old phone ensured all apps and data were automatically and quickly copied over to the new one. He reports that when we first started using the camera, it is at least as good as the original and has probably

The lack of a fingerprint reader is a big mistake by Google.

I'm not usually a picky phone user, so a lot of the things other users complain about don't bother me. For example. The battery life is quite sufficient, the bezels do not interfere with anything, etc. However, the lack of a fingerprint scanner is unforgivable. I've used every previous Pixel XL phone and fingerprint scanners have become a must-have feature. At this stage, it's imperative to quickly and securely unlock your phone and use it instead of app passwords. While face unlock is a good…

Great phone but others are better

6 months ago I upgraded from Pixel 2 (a few years later) to Pixel 4 which was amazing at the time. The Pixel 4 XL has an amazing screen, good features, a supposedly better battery than previous versions, and supposedly the best camera you can get on a phone. All of this was true for the first few months. Eventually an update came out, and some of those features quickly took off. First the battery life has dropped a lot and now after 3 years of use it's maybe worse than my Pixel 2. Second the…

PIXEL 4 has problems

I've had Pixel 2XL, Pixel 3 XL and they were great! Now I have 2 Pixel 4 XL. One to use and one to send in for repair. If I receive a repaired/replaced device back, I will send back another device. I had nothing but trouble. Signal strength is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than 2 or 3. Pixel 4 XL is very buggy. One day the app works, the next it doesn't and the next it works again. The vibration on both devices is so weak that you can't hear it even if you put it on a wooden table. If it's in your…

I bought a second Pixel 4xl - love this phone!

This is the second Pixel 4 xl I have bought. The Pixel 4a and 5 are cheaper now, but this 4xl is MUCH better in terms of internal storage, battery and speed. If you're a "Google" user (Gmail, Chromecast, Chromebooks), this is definitely the phone for you. If you are just an "Android user" then this phone will easily replace any of your previous phones and work just like Samsung. Downloaded data, contacts and settings from previous phone automatically. impossible to take a bad picture).* Large…

Fixed issue with dual sim dual standby and dual network.

I have been looking for this technology for several years because my company phone is on Verizon (CDMA) and my personal phone is on GS/LTE which meant I had to take two phones with me. Pixel 4 DSDS and dual network capability (currently the only phone on the market with this capability) solved my problem: I can now carry a dual number phone in both CDMA (Verizon) and GSM/LTE. coverage area. Good job Google. I'm willing to bet Verizon's hardware sales aren't going to like this phone. However…

Don't expect decent warranty support from Google

This phone is fantastic. I had an issue with the first where the battery indicator didn't change from 50% no matter how many times I used it or how much I charged it. The battery charged and lasted a long time, but the lack of a battery life indicator was a deal breaker. Called google support and they said it was a "warranty" issue. The warranty includes shipping the phone to a designated location for repair, but the closest location I can get is a 250 mile round trip. The alternative was to…
