More than the old handle. Apart from that good.

I liked the old version better. In terms of quality, it's ok. Built like the old one, as far as I can tell. A pair does not like it, more than the old one, but quite a bit. The old version felt good in the hand. It also forces you to use a clamp instead of placing the camera directly into the grip. How: Swim faster with a full-size pro. The old one would swim just fine, but it wouldn't swim as fast as this one (it's bigger, has more air inside, so it swims faster). Also has a larger range of…

Floating hero 5/6 on camera and photo

This is the only floating hold I've tried with my hero 6 but it works like a charm! I decided to purchase an official GoPro grip after reading reviews of other grips that don't keep the Hero5/6 afloat. I can say with confidence that this thing will save your GoPro from drowning. I threw it in the pool and left it there all day and it was still rocking. The orange tip is a great finishing touch as it makes it easy to spot your device! You bought a camera for $300-400. Don't make the stupid…

Very good floating grip

Took this on a trip to Hawaii and it worked as expected. I liked the fact that it uses a standard clip base so you don't have to fiddle with screwing in the electronic clip. The bracelet is strong and flexible like a bungee cord and has an adjustable tension button. The cord that attaches the bracelet to the handle is also top quality and very durable. The pen floated easily in the water with the Hero 4 installed. Great product. It's a bit expensive compared to other products, but most other…

Sturdy camera, wrong accessory

I attached a GoPro camera to this grip and thought it would be the perfect accessory for our day at the beach. I slipped my wrist through the strap and held the handle tight as we battled several waves on the shore. It worked great. about 20 minutes. We paused to wash the salt water out of our eyes and reapply sunscreen. When we were ready to return, I handed it to my niece and said she could hold it this time. When she grabbed it from my hand, the top part that holds the camera literally…

BRAND NEW HERO8 AT THE LAKE BOTTOM AND HORRIBLE GOPRO COMPANY

In the new design of this item, the user inserts the camera with the mount attached into the 'slot'. Well, my son's camera slipped out of that gap and into the lake right before our eyes. The accessory resulted in the loss of a $400 camera and after 5+ HOURS in 2 days with the GoPro they refused to help in any way on the matter. Of course I sent the 'handler' back to Amazon for a refund but GoPro only offered me 25% to replace the camera I bought just 30 days ago. However, I paid $299 for a…

A lack of design prevents it from being great.

At first I liked the grip because it floated and was smoother than any of the other options I've seen. This opinion unfortunately changed after the diving experience. When swimming and shooting, the top of the grip that attaches to the camera slipped off the rest of the grip. This caused my camera to fall into the reef but luckily I landed in shallower water and quickly pulled it out. The sea wasn't rough and I didn't do anything crazy except hunt fish. This makes me uncomfortable using it…
