I bought a pair of these mats thinking I would use them outside although at the moment both mats are still inside. They seem sturdy and seem like they're good for wiping the mud off your shoes before you step inside. Since I have them inside, I find it better to have something softer and more absorbent to wick the remaining moisture out of my shoes before heading further indoors.
