To be honest there isn't a big deal about this product that adds texture or volume but that's not the real trick with this product. What it does best is to keep moisture away from your hair as much as possible, allowing the natural beachy texture to shine through. It just needs some moisture to get any real benefit. If you have fine hair, although this product will work for you, it tends to add some volume to the hair rather than weighing it down. Don't go crazy with me!
