Most of their colors have an excellent lightfastness rating (how long it takes for a color to fade over time when exposed to indoor lighting). Your color saturation is just fantastic. After looking for a "good" gouache set and reading the reviews I settled on this set . Basically, I liked the idea of the pans, they are cleaner and so handy because they dry quickly, when you're done you can just close the lid and off you go. But I was concerned about the consistency, opacity, and its ability to mask. When I first saw this set of gouache I was surprised at the modest price considering it is a Caran D'Ache. Most Caran D'Ache art supplies are very expensive, with the exception of children's art supplies. And the manufacturer's retail price for this set is only fifty cents more than the Fancolor Tempera Children's Set, which includes the same tin, paints, and brushes.
