Smells sweet and divine

I bought this copal to use with white copal and it smells amazing! I will wave it around people and you will feel that you are blessed with the old earth vibrations. Highly recommended for ceremonies or gatherings.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slim

Great Govinda Resin - Great Scent

I love Govinda resins. It's a pleasant scent. A bit like liquorice or more playful than the sweeter White Copal. The price is great for quantity and quality. I use a tea light and strong foil and the resin burns for quite a long time. I've stopped using charcoal discs as they give off too much smoke and don't last.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • So far so good

Not quite the copal I was looking for

Not exactly the same scent. If you are used to smelling copal in traditional Mexican ceremonies, this is not the case. The best I've found is https://www.amazon.com/Maya-White-Copal-Incense-Sticks/dp/B00KMDDWPK but these sticks are just about enough for space. If you want to cover a large outdoor area, you will need resin or binder. I don't want to keep trying expensive Copal Maya resins that don't smell like the real thing.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

It's terrible! Don't waste money!

Very bad! Few blacks. You looked wrong! And they would burst into flames and burn like plastic. It smelled of plastic and burnt diesel fuel. literally choked us out of the house! Pieces with a lighter color will pass out when burned. And it doesn't ignite. At the moment I'm glad that these are mostly lighter products. Since I can get some of this posted if I burn a lot. Fake black parts go straight to the bin!

The smell of copal I was looking for!

Copal is one of my favorite fragrances and it smells exactly what I was looking for! Very sweet and almost vanilla, with hints of incense but not too lemony. The pouch contained several large chunks and smaller crumbly chunks which are perfect for me to either burn directly or grind into powder to make incense cones. Very well packaged by the seller I ordered from! And it was a great price too! I would definitely buy it again in a heartbeat!

Pros
  • Long lasting finish
Cons
  • No mold required

Mostly gold or yellow. The main thing is that it smells good!

As others have written, it is mainly gold and yellow resin. There are very few, if any, dark brown/black items. I've fired a few pieces individually on charcoal and have had good but mixed results in terms of smell. Many of the products smelled wonderfully of copal! Some of them had very little odor and didn't smell that good. All this first melted, then bubbled/cooked and smoked. The price was good for a pound of resin in twin bags. Some of the pieces are huge, others are the size of a peaโ€ฆ

Cedar in a bag.

is a much more golden copal than black, but darker amber pieces also exist. Some of the pieces are a pretty good size and there is almost no dust in the bag. (Dust doesn't bother me, it burns like tears). It smells amazing, I think cedar wood + cedar resin with a bit of sweet citrus. it's much spicier than Govinda's sweet white copal which is also amazing. but when I think of Copal, I think about it. It's like filling a room with wood. It's distinguished with a white sage "base" placed beforeโ€ฆ

  • Looking forward to
