I got a free (small 6oz flute) about five years ago and decided I was going to need 12oz in Scotland next month. I always buy wine when I travel and I hate using a paper or cheap plastic cup from a hotel room. They pack really well. I had no problems with the free one and am looking forward to many drinks with the new big ones. This year we will be traveling a lot by train and plan to relax with a good glass of wine (or two) while enjoying the view.

I love the shape. But "glass" itself is cheap, single-use plastic, which I find offensive both because it's cheap and because it's disposable. I thought that for this price it would be a more durable plastic that I could reuse. It's the same cheap plastic I've found in nearby restaurants, but thrown away after use. I don't like throwing things away. It pollutes our environment. I like either glass or thicker, more durable plastic that I would reuse.

I was willing to pay a premium for a similar GoVino product I bought about 10 years ago: light and strong. However, the new (although structurally identical) is significantly smaller. Filled to the brim and carefully measured, the new one only holds 11 ounces, not 12 ounces, of liquid. Apparently they have been reworked to save on "advanced plastic". I love these! The quality of the plastic is really nice and transparent. No stains, haze, blisters or visible seams. From a distance it looks like real glass. The thumbprint is my favorite design which makes them comfortable to hold and less likely to slip off. They must be hand washed. It's not cheap plastic at all to the touch. If I could put zero stars I would. I bought them because they advertised them as dishwasher safe. I received them and found that the pouches covering each cup say hand wash only. I put it in the top rack of the dishwasher and washed it before use. The Mu dishwasher is a Samsung dishwasher that doesn't have a heating element and those mugs failed and melted.
