Description of πŸ“‘ GoLoRa SX1278 LoRa Radio Wireless 433Mhz UART Serial Module with LoRaWAN Transceiver + 433Mhz 3dBi SMA Antenna, Arduino STM32 51 Single Chip Microcontroller Compatible

βœ” LoRa spread-spectrum communication, super anti-interference performance -- The module adopts LORA spread spectrum technology, transmitting distance and anti-interference performance are one time more than FSK. βœ” WOR (Low Power Consumption) -- Work on radio, applicable for battery powered applications. βœ” FEC (Forward Error Correction) -- High coding efficiency & good correction performance. βœ” Transparent Transmission (Point to Point) -- Data sending is via transparent transmission, the module comes with address. βœ” Fixed Transmission -- Each module can connect with other module in different addresses and channels to achieve application like networking, repeating, etc.

works great, easy to set up

I bought two of these devices and tested them on development boards using Arduino Nano and SoftwareSerial Library. Of all the 433MHz transceivers I tested, these were the easiest to set up and use. I've only tested the range of about 100 feet indoors. They have worked brilliantly for this and I expect they will work well in the advertised space.

Pros
  • βœ” FEC (Forward Error Correction) - high coding efficiency and good fix performance
Cons
  • no

Works great right out of the box, just pay attention to the baud rate

. I was a bit concerned about some hidden micro pre-programming requirements or initialization, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it up and running right out of the box. I had to use the right pins to enable the output and that's fine. I'll give you a recommendation: this isn't meant to send a lot of data. It takes time to get our characters and you can't submit data very quickly. If you're using a terminal emulator, characters will be discarded if you try to mix them up. This is good for…

Pros
  • βœ” Transparent Transmission (Point to Point) -- Data transmission is through transparent transmission, the module comes with address
Cons
  • -

Great for Arduino enthusiasts

not sure how well they will work due to the fairly affordable price, but the build quality and reliability are excellent. I don't feel like I need to go into detail, this is a fairly specific device with a specific task, but if you have any doubts about this being a trustworthy purchase, go for it! All in all, be careful, read the spec and manual before connecting power and build well.

Pros
  • βœ” WOR (Low Power) - works wirelessly, suitable for battery powered applications
Cons
  • There are downsides,
